I tapped my fingers on my desk impatiently.

Where is Marly?? Did something come up?? Or did she forget?? Do I text her just to remind her?? But wouldn't it seem too clingy?

As my hands hovered over my phone, the bell rang.

Thank god.

I jogged towards the door, opened it and smiled at her.

She smiled back "Sorry I am late, I got held up by my friend"

"It's ok! Come on in, Marley." I said, moving to the side to let her in.

As soon as she stepped inside, patches jumped from the kitchen counter and came up to her. I smiled at the sight.

"I still can't believe that patches warmed up to you so fast" I stated and Marley smirked.

"I mean, of course, I have that aura around me. Even a certain white blob warmed up to me like we are old friends though we met like a few weeks ago." She grinned.

I scoffed "Yeah, ok, come on"

She picked up patches and followed me to my room.

"So, a slight change of plans, my friends might join in a call with us while I teach you to play" I explained scratching my neck.

She nodded her head as if she was already expecting it.

We sat down and Patches curled up in her lap. I handed her the spare headphones and opened up discord.

I looked at her and asked "Are you ready? They can be a hand full"

She grinned back "More than ready"

I joined the call where George and Sapnap was already in.

"Hey guys, Marley is here" I informed them, hoping they don't say or do anything to put her off. If they do, I'll strangle these idiots.

"Hello Marley! I am Nick. You can call me Sapnap!" Sapnap said enthusiastically.

"Hi Marley! I am Georgenotfound, you can call my George" George introduced himself.

"Or Gogy" Sapnap snickered as George groaned.

I looked over at Marley and saw her grinning from ear to ear.

"Hello! Snapmap and Gogy! Nice to meet you! I mean- talk to you?" She laughed

"Did you just call me Snapmap-?" Sapnap started asking

George interrupted him "Yess, I love you already. It's so nice you finally talk to you! We heard a ton about you!"

Marley looked at me "All good things I hope"

I rolled my eyes.

"Oh, you have no idea" George sighed, a smirk probably covering his face.

I clapped my hands "OK, OK ENOUGH OF THIS." I tried to deviate from the topic before my best friends ratted me out. "Where's Marceline??"

Just as I asked, the ping of someone joining the chat rang.

"Hey guys! Is this her?" Marceline said, her voice was hoarse and her audio was a bit weird.

"Yes! Say hi to Marley, Marcy" I said, and everyone laughed.

"They practically have the same name!" Sapnap said between laughs

"Ahaha- Yeah. Hi Marcy! Nice to meet you!" Marley said from beside me.

"Hello! Nice to meet you too!" Marceline returned, she sounded excited but her voice was still a little weird.
