I never revealed that to someone that I just met. But strangely enough Chris makes me feel safe.

The way he sat in front of me and listens to my shit story just made me feel home.

"You know I feel like we should talk about something more fun." I said. He just chuckled.

"Lynda texted me earlier that there will be an award show that she thinks we should attend as a newly wed couple. you okay with that?" he asked with a slight hint of concern in his eyes.

"Sure, I'd love that. But I don't have anything fancy to wear...just my prom dress kinda..."

"Don't worry we'll go shopping once we get back to Boston." he winked at me.

"what is life like in Boston?" I asked him an took a sip of my wine.

"ugh you know... I'm a busy man" he laughed heartedly and looked back at me. I was just grinning at him. 'Gosh that smile will be the death of me.' I thought.

"I'm practically always on the run to shoot a new movie. never really settling down. I sometimes wish I could just be with my wife and some kids just being us living life and loving life." The atmosphere in the room kinda just swapped to be heavy and a little tragic. "My biggest wish is to have my own little family. God I want some mini Mes running around in my house... but I think it's just not meant for me..." He looked down. I started a pathetic try to cheer him up a little.

"Well for now you're stuck with me. But I would appreciate to wait a little with the kids... I mean a mini you sounds pretty good but for now I am happy with just you." I smiled at him. A genuine one. And he returned it.

"You're right. I am a lucky man with a gorgeous wife..." he laughed again.

"Kinda hilarious isn't it?"

"What exactly?"

"That we're practically two strangers with completely different lives. But still here we are and it feels like I've known you for my whole life." I got a little shy at the end and added "At least for me"

"Absolutely. I don't know what it is but I feel like we are going to have a lot of fun together. My drunk ass was right to choose you to be my wife. Couldn't have asked for someone better."

His statement made me feel warm and fuzzy inside and a major blush crept upon my cheeks.

"I'm glad to be that somebody to you" I said and with that we both hung upon our own thoughts. Once in a while sneaking a glance at the other one.

As soon as we were back in my apartment we went to sleep.

"You can take my bed and I'll sleep on the couch..." I said and rearranged the cushions for me to lay on it comfortably.

"Oh no... I'm the intruder here I'll take the couch." Chris insisted.

"Very funny Mr Evans... You're not only about six foot tall you're also broad as hell. You would simply not fit on my tiny couch."

"Well thank you Mrs Evans for that compliment but I am a gentleman... I'll.sleep.on.that.couch."

"Nope not gonna happen."

We both glanced at each other and it seems like we both had the same idea because we both took a sudden step forward and tried to get on that couch. We ended up in a very awkward position on top of each other where he kinda pinned me down to my couch and just stared at me. God that dude is heavy. We both bursted out laughing and he got off of me and sat down beside me. Me, being the lazy ass I am, putting my legs on top of his and he just started stroking my legs.

"God I'm tired..." he said and let his head fall back to the headrest and closed his eyes. I smiled and also let my head fall back.

Soon enough I felt myself drift off to sleep.

The next morning I woke up from someone stirring next to me and pulling the blanket off of me. Chris must have taken me to bed because we were not longer on my couch but in my bed. He was laying on his left side his back facing me. And his steady breathing indicates that he his still sound asleep. For a moment I considered staying in bed but I knew that it was going to be a long day so I got up and started refreshing myself a little. I took a long shower and got dressed in some comfortable clothes.

As I was making some breakfast I heard that Chris also took a shower. He stood in the doorway of my kitchen and still looked absolutely tired.

"G'morning" he mumbled. "Good Morning.. how did you sleep?" I asked him.

"Well I tried sleeping on your couch but you were right. I didn't fit on it at all so after an hour of trying I shared the bed with you. And that sleep was good. I hope you don't mind. "

"No it's okay... I don't mind as long as you are comfortable. You took me to bed?"

"Yeah I saw you dead asleep on that tiny couch and thought you need a good sleep after everything so I put you to bed."

"Thank you" I smiled which he returned. "Take a seat breakfast is almost ready."

He did as I said and took a seat at the counter on one of the bar stools. As I finished cooking the bacon he watched my every move.

"I made traditional English breakfast but without the black pudding cause I hate that stuff."

"Wow that smells amazing." His eyes gleamed and he started eating.

We finished eating and cleaned up. Then it was time to start packing up my stuff. We shared the tasks. I would gather all my personal stuff and Chris started by packing up my clothes. He insisted on helping me.

The day pretty much consisted of us packing my stuff and eating.
