Pulling over, right as I watched my brother and sister's car roll down the hill, after losing control, my heart had stopped. They were still tumbling, almost catching on a few rocks and stones, as I turned the car off, before I was jumping out, as my older brother had already flung his door open, shooting a few bullets through the car that had been chasing my little sister and brother, before running.
I didn't stop, until the car had come to a full stop, groaning as it sat on top of a rock, rolling back and forth for a second. If this was anyone else, I would not be sure that they had survived. I would be sure that the two people that were in this car, would be dead by now, but I knew that they couldn't be. The two people that had found themselves in this car, were stronger than they knew it themselves.
I watched, as my older brother, Alejandro, rip open the side of the car to my brother, as I finally ran into action, ripping my sisters door open, as I was holding myself up as I reached around to grab her. She was unconscious, with blood dripping down her face as she stirred the slightest, which gave me hope as I unbuckled her, before I was running for safety, as the car had started to burn.
I hadn't felt the scorching of the car, but I most certainly did, as I rushed my little sister, away from the car. I sighed in relief, when I finally placed her on the ground for a second, to asses her injuries, as Alejandro finally came out the other side of the car, my younger brother slung over his shoulder, as he indicated that we had to go.
I grabbed my sister, bridal style, as I then rushed as fast as I could, making sure not to disturb my sister, as I was then ordered to climb into the back, letting Ben rest against me, and Savannah in my lap. I caressed my sisters hair, as I strapped the two of them in, before we were hightailing it back to the hospital that we had just come from.
---
I wasn't sure how we had done it, but we had removed any of the Garcia's from this hospital, shooing them home, right as we had finally started to move in on their territory. The same territory that I had grown up on, with the same sister and brother that I had just saved from being burned to death in the car that their supposed parents had bought their older brother.
That same brother, was here, receiving surgery in the hospital, after a football game had gone wrong, and was about to be accompanied by his brother and sister. My brother and sister. Savanah, Ben, Nic, Liam and myself, had been stolen from our family, one by one, when we were all born. I was initially taken, because the opposing Mafia, Lorenzo and Valentina Garcia could not have children on their own.
At the time of Nic's birth, they had just given birth to Isabella, a week earlier, and that was the formation of their twins, with an older sibling. They then took Ben, before returning to take Liam and Savanah after him. I would have never known, until that day, when my sister had had to watch me fake my death, because my real parents had come to save us, but they weren't able to grab Savanah in time, and that had stuck with me to this day.
They had taken me, and wanted to come back for Savanah, but she had been kept the furthest away, and it broke me. I had lost my little shadow that day, and I knew, just by looking at her here, as I handed her to a nurse, that she was most definietly not the same 9 year old girl that I had left behind.
Squeezing my shoulder, was my older brother, Emiliano, that had been witness to all 5 of us being taken away from him, and he had been the one that had sat me down, when I had come home, to tell me the story of our kidnapping. I could tell, then and there, that he had blamed himself for the loss of each and everyone of us, but he had only been so young. No one truly understood why our family had been torn apart, as my parents had been devastated.
"They'll be alright. Now its just to get Liam home" we had been here, on a mission to save them, but it had been harder than we thought. Alejandro and I were the only car that was supposed to follow my little brother and sister. Liam was supposed to stay here, but my old father had taken him, making sure to keep a firm grip on him as he walked him out. Bruno had gotten shot and nearly killed because he had tried to talk to Liam, when my old father had left him at school, before coming to the rescue, like he always used to.
Lorenzo Garcia was the dirtiest man I had ever met. He had tried to rape me, before I then tried to run away, which he then threatened to kill me, if I didn't keep quiet. So I did, and I let him rape me, before I was then kidnapped, and I never had to go back. He thought I was dead, and that was the best way to keep it.
Stepping into the room that Bruno was now filling, beside my younger brother, the similarities were astonishing between the two of them. I had been told that Nic, Bruno and I had been called twins, seeing we were quiet close in age, but that hadn't lasted long. "I know, buddy, I know" and with that, my eldest brother pulled my into a hug, as I held onto him extra tight, biting back the tears that gathered in my eyes, as I tried my hardest not to look at my two brothers, knowing that I had nearly lost four siblings in one day.
"They could have died" I murmured, gripping onto my brother as tight as I could. I was gripping onto whatever I could, knowing that my pain, the same pain that I had held onto for 5 years, was now bubbling at the surface, as everything hit me at full force. I couldn't stop the sight that kept flashing before my eyes, of my siblings being in the car, as it tumbled down the side of the hill.
"But they didn't. You saved two of them" I had saved two of them, as Alejandro said when he came to rest a hand on my shoulder. If he wasn't there, I wouldn't have been able to save both of them, as I was standing there for too long, wondering the what ifs. I was standing there, still, as I was unsure of whether my siblings would make it out alive.
"Let's get that hand looked at" Emiliano was then directing me out of the room, and down the hall, where I was stuck on automatic, as he just guided me with where I needed to be. I didn't argue, as he sat me down in a chair, before he was then grabbing some supplies from the nurse, as e had known what it was like when someone had to treat me. I had grown a comfort in Emiliano taking care of me when this stuff happened, as I still hated when unknown men tried to touch me, even some women.
It was all because of the childhood that I had lived through, and I did not wish that upon anyone else. I knew that the siblings I had saved today, that had no idea yet that I had been there, to scoop them up into my arms, that they would agree with me. Nic still had no idea that I had come back, and that I was not actually dead, like he had been told for so long.
"There, buddy" Emi gently touched my hand, bringing me back to reality, as I looked down, seeing the slight scorches on my left hand, that was now covered with a bandage. I just nodded at him, before he was telling me to stay there, as my father, Santiago, came to sit down next to me, and tell me just how proud he was of me, but I wasn't listening.
I was staring, face to face, with the father that had once tried to kill me.
