3rd Person POV
*For this one they're in a college university so Megumi is older!
He's known her since she and Gojo came to see he when he was a kid. He's watched all this time as she helped him be a better sorcerer. Knowing that she's been there for him even when he's done something bad. She's supported him in every way and he just couldn't take his eyes off her. For sorcerers the teachers who taught them in high school were the same ones who taught them in college, luckily the place was just a little ways from the high school.
"Who can tell me what to do when you run into a curse that's higher than the grade you're ranked? You have no help and no back up, what do you do?" Y/N asked the classroom filled with sorcerers. She glanced around the classroom, her eyes locking on Megumi's before she glanced away and called on another student.
Meanwhile Megumi's eyes never left her. He noticed how she never payed attention to him a lot and that upset him just a little. He thought that since they'd known each other for a while, they'd be closer. But nothing. So, Megumi decided to create an opening.
"L/N sensei, can we talk?" He called out to Y/N who stopped and waited for him to catch up. "Sure, Megumi. What do you need?" She asked as they started walking again. "I was wondering if it was possible to be sent out on a mission? I know it's been a while but I just need something to do" he asked, shoving his hands in his pockets. Y/N nodded before she laughed a little. "Megumi, if you just want to get out of school work or have an extension on a paper all you have to do is ask."
"No, that's not what I me-" Megumi tried to speak up but Y/N cut him off. "Y/N!" A man called her name, causing Megumi to groan. He loathed that man. "Gojo sensei" He acknowledged with a glare toward the man child. "Ah, Megumi. Shouldn't you be in class?" Satoru asked with a little head tilt.
"Um... no. Megumi is taking the rest of the day. He's got a curse he's going after tomorrow" Y/N spoke up with a smile before leaving the two guys alone. "You did that on purpose!" Megumi quietly exclaimed. "What? Oh, are you talking about the crush you have on your teacher! How scandalous" Satoru laughed.
Satoru knew that Megumi had some type of feelings for Y/N ever since he was a first year in high school. And Satoru being Satoru, he knew that the only thing he should rightfully do is make fun of his student for it.
"Won't you be quiet! I do not have a crush" Megumi whispered harshly. "Really? Then what would you call it? You know, the longing stare, the way you try to be close to her so you put yourself in the most ridiculous situations. Oh, you know my personal favorite! The puppy eyed look you give her" Gojo teased, causing Megumi to hit him, but of course it missed because of Gojo's power. "You are getting on my last nerve" the student groaned as he walked down the hallway.
"What? I'm just being honest" Gojo followed. The worst part was that Megumi knew he was right. "Listen, as your former teacher/fellow sorcerer I'll offer some advice" he smiled. "I'd rather you not" Megumi scoffed. "So you don't want to know how to win her heart? I think have some pretty useful information as her best friend" Gojo said before walking away. "Wait! Don't be an idiot and just tell me how" Megumi caved.
"Put yourself in a dangerous situation" Gojo simply said. "W-W-Wait! Why are you leaving?" Gojo asked as Megumi walked away. "'Cause you said something stupid."
But deep down, like deep down, Megumi couldn't help but think it was an interesting idea. "I am going on a mission tomorrow. It wouldn't be that bad" he mumbled. "Yes it would. Don't listen to that blindfolded idiot" Nobara appeared but quickly disappeared.
It was the next day and Megumi had already left for the day. Apparently Gojo had gotten the bright idea to set it up so Megumi was going to be handling a a special grade apparition. He had no idea how that was going to go but he trusted himself enough.
Well, it didn't go well at all. It wasn't just a single special grade, there were 2 more. Y/N ended up saving him and looked down at the him as he rested on the wall of the building. "I'm sorry" Megumi whispered, holding his broken arm. "No, it's not your fault but Gojo's. I should've made sure it was something that you could've handled" she quietly said as she brushed the hair out of his face. "I'm going to pick you up now, ok? It might hurt but just bare with me until I can get us to the car" Y/N turned around and lifted him off the ground, firmly wrapping her hands around his legs before she started walking.
Meanwhile poor Megumi felt embarrassed. All he wanted to do was show that he was strong and mature enough. "Don't be in a rush to grow up, Megumi" Y/N said as she helped him into the front seat. "What?" His eyes widened. "I am a teacher, kid. Im not blind. Whatever it is that's causing you to make these rash decisions, I promise you that the same reasoning will still be here when you get older" she looked at him with soft eyes.
"Does that mean you'll be here, too" he murmured. "Excuse me?" Y/N asked. "Will you still be here until I graduate?" He asked, looking deeply into her eyes. "Well, being a sorcerer comes with some uncertainty in wether or not you'll live to see the next day" he looked down to avoid her eyes.
"But, kid if I'll make this promise to you. I'll still be by your side after you graduate. We've been together and I've watched you grow for far too long just for me to not talk to you again" he looked back at Y/N and nodded with a sigh. The promise that she would still be there after he graduates was enough for now.
"Ok, I'll wait a little longer" he sighed with a small smile. "Did you say something?" She asked as she started the car. "No, nothing" he shook his head and watched as the rain droplets raced down the window.
Megumi could wait a little while longer to have Y/N see him as a man.
