"Space," they say they need.
What is space?
It's the void that needs to be filled when you aren't there.
Space you call it, but she sees the distance you are trying to put in between.
You have never been good with putting things into words when it comes to her.
Though, surely something this detrimental should just be forthright for everyone's sake.
What reason is there to wait? Afraid of what it will do to her in the long run? It didn't have to become such a concern but you let her stay foolishly hoping that it was just her overthinking again.
The aftermath of this is now tenfold. The girl will be beyond shattered. She risked it all, staying in a world that brought her so much pain. She risked staying for you, yet you won't think this through?
The insecurities are resurfacing once more. Every negative thought she had on this repour.
