The two had just randomly started rapping in nonsense Spanish as part of their practice while they read next to each other in the library. Something about disco spiders... The lyrics really hadn't been the important part of that little song. No, the part that was so impressive was how easily they had bounced off of each other, even taking up the beat flawlessly while the other did a verse.

For Abed, that moment made it click just how easy it was to exist around Troy. With the others in the group, they either poked fun at him for his quirks or infantilized him because of his disorder, as if he wasn't just as intelligent as the rest of them. But Troy didn't do either of those things. No, he just treated him like a person, and it was really nice to have that kind of dynamic with someone... He was also just a really cool guy.

For Troy, it made him realize that he truly enjoyed being around Abed. He felt like he had to make himself seem like this stereotypically cool dude around everyone else, but Abed just seemed to like him for his personality. The two of them could sit silently next to each other for hours, just reading whatever they were doing and maybe occasionally breaking into an impromptu Spanish rap, and there was nothing awkward about any of it.

"'La araña discoteca'" Abed muttered to himself, remembering part of what Troy had rapped during their little song. Troy stifled a chuckle. "Doesn't that just mean 'the disco spider'?" he asked. Troy shrugged. "What is so disco about the spider?"

"He listens to disco music"

"That genre is very dated" Abed critiqued. Troy chuckled to himself. "Shouldn't he be more up to date with his musical taste"

"It's a spider, Abed"

"A disco spider"

"The disco spider"

"La araña discoteca"
