Chapter 7

Sidharth enters Hakim's cell. He notices him tied on the chair, his eyes are closed, probably he is asleep. Sidharth takes a bottle of cold water and throws it on Hakim's face. Hakim jerks up but couldn't move a bit because of he is tied. He breathes heavily after suddenly getting a splash of cold water and says "Kon hai?"
"Tera baap" replies Sidharth.
"What d-do you want?"
"Details"
"Sir I told you, I don't know"

Sidharth looks at Deshmukh and says, "Open the rope. Now"
Deshmukh looks at him confused. Sidharth repeats himself, "I told you something". Immediately Deshmukh obeys his orders and cuts the rope which tied Hakim's hand.
"Enough. Move back", orders Sidharth. 
He brings the thick wooden cane and a chair, and sits right in front of Hakim.

"So Hakim Naiya. So since you don't know any details, I am coming straight to the point. Answer me in yes or no. Have you been arrested before?"
Sidharth's strict approach made him scared, Hakim fumbles "y-yes"
"Good. This is the second time you are getting caught for molesting a girl?"
"I was n-"
"I said answer in a yes or no" Sidharth  says a little loudly.
"Y..es.."
"You stay in the slums of Shivaji Lane?"
"Y-ye..s"
"Now quickly tell me the names of the people involved in this whole molestation business". Hakim keeps quiet. Sidharth gets up from his place and walks around the small cell. Hakim looks at him. "Looking at me will not help. Names. C'mon, otherwise all your bones will be broken". Not getting a reply, Sidharth grabs Hakim's hand and beats him with the thick wooden stick, "I was at home for a few day and now that I am back I will love to do this."

Hakim screams and cries out to leave him, but his cries fall in deaf ears. Instead Sidharth beats him on shoulder, immediately Hakim shouts "Sir I am saying. Please leave me. Sir, rukh jao.."
"I want to know the details and names"
"Sir.....in this case, I...I didn't know the girl. I was drunk...that night..I was alone. But...I couldn't do anything, Sir....another girl punched me..I fell down and I was unconscious."
"Where did this happen? Answer me honestly, otherwise you know the consequences. I won't spare you."
"Sir.....in Malad, near Poddar Street."
"Hmm.....are you saying the truth?"
"Sir aai sapatha...aai sapatha, mai jhuth nhi bol raha hoon Sir."
"Names of the people involved?" Hakim looks down without replying when he hears "Keeping quiet will not help, either give me the names or today I will break all your bones. Chaudhry don't you think it will be fun?" Chaudhry replies "Beshak! Sir Ji bohot dino ke baad kuch interesting karne mein maaza ayega."

Hakim looks at them with horror in his eyes. After contemplating he finally opens up,"Amey Kolapuri and Bhav Kamat....three of us...we are a group. Sir...they have bigger groups also, but I only know Amey and Bhav...aai sapatha Sir."
"Amey and Bhav....where do they stay?", Sidharth looks straight into his eyes and asks. Hakim gulps down and about about to say something when he receives a slap from Deshmukh. Scared of more torture he immediately says "Sir ruk jaiye. Bol raha hoon Sir....wo Amey and Bhav stay in the same slum with me. But Amey's parents are very rich. Actually Amey's parents are not his own parents, he was adopted. So they threw him away. So he stays in the slum with us. Amey's brother is getting well education. But now Amey and Bhav have gone out of Mumbai because I have been caught. They are trying to escape. Sirf itna pata hai mujhe Sir. Aur kuch nhi pata. I am telling you the truth". Sidharth nods and tells Deshmukh to give Hakim some water and lock the cell.

Sidharth goes out of the cell goes to his cabin. He opens a diary and writes down a few important points about the case. He slowly tells and writes "Amey Kolapuri and Bhav Kamat. Amey thrown out of the house by his adopted parents, but he has a son who studies in the same college. M.K.P College, the same college where Shehnaaz studies", he runs his hand through his hair and calls Chaudhry asks him to find the details about Amey and Bhav and about their families.

Sidharth is driving towards his house when he calls Shehnaaz and asks if she is at home.
Shehnaaz answers in a sleepy tone "Hello? what happened?"
"Shehnaaz were you sleeping at this time?" Sidharth asks curiosity because it was not that late and she told that she is a night owl.
"Siddhhaarrtthhh"
"Arey kya hua meri jaan?"
"I forgot to complete one project, then I was awake the whole night. I went to college and then after returning I fell asleep."
Sidharth felt guilty that he woke her up "I'm really sorry Shehnaaz, I shouldn't have called you. You rest-"
"Sidharth I have slept for a good five hours, now tell me what you wanted to ask"
"Are you free now? Would you mind if I go to your house? Actually I had to ask you something about the case. So?"
"Stop being so formal. You can definitely come home. Byee!! See you soon."
