after Penny and gumball get in a fight Penny decides to cut the rope, and break up with Gumball. Devastated, gumball doesn't know what to do or how to feel but his night in shining armor will soon step out to save him...

(So just in case you're confused last chapter and this one are the next week after the ISS for hdg is over |present day is Monday|just in case you're confused)
HDG rush to class and got there just in time. He took his seat, when she had been assigned to earlier that morning. It was in the back and directly by Darwin. He looked over to notice the orange fish and Landon to say something to him.
"Hey, I know where your brother is."
Darwin was shocked by his unprompted sudden whisper, "oh! Where is he!? Was he skipping again!?" He started. "...wait how would you even know where he was?" He said suspiciously.
"Um y0u know, just ran into him." He started "we were in the closet together." He whisper shouted in a panicked tone.
Darwin's face quickly shifted from confusion and questioning to a cheeky grin. "Oh. You were now~" he said teasingly. He noticed HDG's skin was sweaty and more red than normal.
"NOT LIKE THAT!" He blurted out loud enough it could barely count as a whisper.
This made Mrs. Kinion notice their conversation. "Boys! I will not tolerate interruption! Shut up."
They quickly looked forward, HDG was more then relieved but Darwin was smiling to himself. He now had some info to tell Sarah all about. She was gonna eat this up.

When the day was finally over gumball snuck out of the janitor closet and made his was to the bus, HDG did the same so they could meet each other at that destination. The arrived at about the same time and greeted each other.
"So....uh what time...?" Gumball started.
HDG wanting to get this over quickly respond with, "tonight I'm free! Actually I'm free all week too!"
"Oh ok, see you tonight then?"
"Yeah sure...."
"Ok see you later dude." Gumball said while leading him to the bus. he got on and sat in his normal spot by Darwin who was outside the bus talking to Sarah. 'Dang what's he saying? She is foaming at the mouth with excitement.' he thought to himself. Shortly after he finished his thought they were both on the bus.
Darwin flop down right next to Gumball with a stupid big smile on his face. "Hey Darwin..." Gumball said somewhat nervously, knowing he hasn't told Darwin about his plans to skip.
"Hey bro. You owe me for covering you today." He said in a pippy tone. His words didn't seem to align with the way he was acting.
"Yeah, for sure. Sorry about that." He said apologetically.
"No biggie! Who's you new friend???" He squirmed up to his brother and excitement.
"Huh? what are you talking about?" He asked confused.
"Oh just someone named... Hot Dog Guy. Ring any bells?" He said with a smug look.
"Uh oh yeah. Him. He walked into the closet I was sitting in during lunch. We talked... One thing lead to another.....and...."
Darwin was hanging on his every word, about to jump out of his skin from excitement.
"Now he has to tutor me." Gumball finished.
"Oh." Darwin went. 'okayyy... Not exactly ideal, But I can make this work.'
"When?" He asked promptly.
"Tonight! What will I do!?" He squeaked out (with a couple voice cracks I might add).
Darwin was surprised by his outburst. "Geez! No need to yell. what are you so worried about!?"
"I DON'T KNOW DARWIN! HE MAKES ME FEEL WEIRD!? L-LIKE IM ON A ROLLER COASTER OR SOMETHING" he whisper shouted.
Darwin quickly realized there was more happening than he had let on. He was fully ready to take advantage of this.

They arrived home and Darwin quickly rushed up the stairs go to his room and send a message to Sarah on their computer about what had happened on the bus. Gumball was making his way at normal Pace when Nicole's y'all stop both of them. Darwin was already at the top of the stairs. He stayed there because he realized the call was not for him.
"HEY! Gumball we need to get to the store and get you an outfit for picture day." Nicole yelled from the kitchen.
"Oh not tonight Mom I have someone coming over-"
"No friends over until your grades are Cs!"
"He's not a friend!!! he's a tutor!"
And he ran upstairs to get to his room. Hey would be there any second so he wanted to watch his arrival out of the bedroom window.
He saw him walk down the sidewalk and stop to look at the house. Darwin, still on the computer reminded him to get the door for HDG. And with That he rushed down to open the door.
