Chapter Four: Double Date

My point of view (At the Tanner's)

It's now officially been about a month since I moved in with the Tanner's and honestly, I couldn't have asked for people to live with. I mean, a couple of weeks ago it was my birthday and Danny went out of his way to make sure I would have a good birthday just by throwing me a surprise party.

 I was beyond happy that someone as kind and loving as Danny would do all of that for me. It was a lot of fun because I got to celebrate it with everyone up until my ex-husband showed up in the middle of it and crashed the party. Luckily, Joey was able to stand up for me which caused him to leave. (Thank God)

If it wasn't for Joey to do that for me, I'm not really sure what would've happened. I'm glad that he did though. Oh, and I'm guessing your probably wondering how thing's have been going between us, right? To be honest, thing's have been going great lately since Joey took me out for ice cream, just so Danny could get everything ready.

 
Anyways enough about that, I should start getting ready for work and go on with my day instead of babbling on and on about this. Why, you ask? Well, today is actually my very first date with Alex and I'm very nervous about it. I mean, it's not really a first date. It's actually more like a double date because he also invited his identical twin sister, Violet and Joey to come along with us.
And not only that, this is the first real date I've been on since my divorce. But, that's all I'm going to say about that, I really have to start getting ready now! Wish me luck!!!

As I managed to get out of bed and get myself dressed for the day and everything, I finally made my way downstairs for some breakfast and to talk to Becky when all of a sudden... she called out to me and said..
"Hey Cynth! Are you excited about your date with Alex tonight?" She asked quickly as I came down the rest of the stairs and as DJ, Kimmy, and Stephanie all watched. I glanced at her with a chuckle. But before I was able to speak, DJ spoke up and said... "Wait, you have a date with Alex Mandeville? The Alex Mandeville? That's so great! When did you guys get together?" DJ yelled out just now, clearly excited about it.

I laughed at her nervously. "Who knows, maybe you guys will really hit it off tonight and fall in love." Kimmy teased me, looking at DJ. DJ nodded her head. "Do you know what you guys are going to do?" She thought, curious as to what Alex and I had in mind for tonight.
I let out a small breath as I looked over at DJ. "He's taking me to the smash club but, Joey and Violet are also going to be there." I explained. Kimmy chuckled. "Oh, so you guys are all on a double date. Gee, that must be a great way to start the night off!" She drawled out. DJ laughed at Kimmy.

 
"Kimmy! So, Cynthia. Do you have any idea what your going to wear?" She asked me. Geez this girl was really invested in my date tonight, I thought to myself but I just gave her a small smile and shook my head slowly. "No, not really. I'm so nervous about it. Considering how popular he is and everything." I muttered.

DJ's face suddenly grew into a grin as she thought of an idea. "Well, Kimmy and I would be glad to help you out, and I'm sure that Becky would too." She insisted just now as she hoped that I would go along with it. Becky smiled at all of us. "DJ's right, Cynthia. We will all help you get ready for tonight. Don't worry, everything will be fine. I'm sure that Alex is a great guy." Becky announced, hoping that would make me feel a little better.

I let out a small sigh with her. "I know he probably is. But, I just haven't been on a date in so long since you know who." I stated. "Who?" Kimmy asked, dumbfoundedly  even though she knew who I was talking about which caused the room to go quiet for a few seconds and DJ to nudge her in the elbow. "Oh right..." Kimmy said once DJ did that.
