Chapter Five: Secrets & First Dates

My Point Of View

 
It's been at least a few days since I found out that my ex-boyfriend Alex Manderville had been cheating on me not to mention only using me to get on the show more for his so-called publicity and everything. Oh, and that's not all. If you think that wasn't bad enough, I have something that's way worse. He tried to take advantage of me last night too and it show what kind of character/guy he truly is. I mean, I guess I should have seen this coming. But, when it all happened at once like that, it felt like a huge slap in the face.
How could he do that to me? I felt like an idiot because of how he made me feel. But thankfully, Danny was there to help me feel better. Anyways enough about all of this, I should at least try to move on with my day by getting out of bed. It really sucks though especially when you have a broken heart. But, the only thing to do at this point is to try.

As I finally managed to get myself out of bed, I went into have a quick shower to see if that would help me feel better a bit more. As I was in the shower, Danny made his way downstairs to start breakfast and saw DJ and Becky sitting in the living room on the couch.
"Hey girls. How's Cynthia doing? Is she doing any better?" He asked in a soft voice, hoping that I was whole he looked at them both. Becky sighed as she shook her head slowly. "Sadly, not. Alex really hurt her." Becky responded.

DJ frowned as she heard Becky say that. "Gee, her heart must really be broken." She said. Danny began to frown now as well as he let out a small breath.
"I just don't like seeing her upset like this." Danny muttered as Becky and DJ looked over at him. "Gee, dad. You must really care about her as a friend to say that." DJ pointed out.

 
Danny's eyes landed on her as he scratched the back of his head and gave her a small smile. "Actually, Deej. It's a little more than that now." He began. DJ's face grew into a smile as she couldn't help but feel very surprised over this. "Really? Since when?" She questioned, still pretty excited over all of this right now.

 
Becky cleared her throat. "Since she started dating, you know who." She announced. DJ let out a small chuckle. "Dad, that's great! I think you guys would be so cute together!" She beamed. Danny's smile suddenly began to grow wider as she said that. "Thanks, Deej. But, I don't think it's going to go anywhere anytime soon so, I don't want to get yours or the girls hopes up." He said in a small voice, doubting everything.

or you to have your chance! You need to go tell her how you feel!" She insisted, clearly rooting for Danny and I to be together.
Danny frowned. "It's not that easy, DJ. She's just getting over a bad breakup and besides she probably doesn't feel the same way and she doesn't even know how I feel about her." He sighed.
Becky let out a soft chuckle. 

"Danny, I really think that you should tell her. Who knows, she may even feel the same way." She protested, hoping that Danny would take her advice. Danny cleared his throat. "Well, I mean.. I can try. But, I don't know if I should.. How are we going to help her get over her broken heart?" He wondered, looking over at the both of them.

 
DJ's face began to light up. "I have an idea." She said, as Becky turned to her slowly. "What is it?" She thought, curious to know what she had in mind. As Becky, Danny and DJ were all out in the living room talking, I made my way out of the shower. "We should take Cynthia out for a girl's day." DJ suggested. Becky smiled and nodded at DJ. "That sounds like a great idea, DJ! I'm sure she will love it." She exclaimed.

 
Danny's face fell a bit. "But, what if she sends up meeting someone else? Then what do I do?" He asked, feeling nervous about all of this all of a sudden. Becky and DJ both looked over at each other then back at Danny, sharing a laugh. "Then maybe it's time to ask her out." DJ said.
Danny gave her a small nod. "Maybe you're right Deej, maybe I should ask her out." Danny replied. Becky, DJ and Danny all smiled at each other. "Shh, here she comes now." Becky said in a soft voice, as I made my way downstairs just now.
