People usually see witches, like me, as heartless monsters who would eat babies if we got the chance, but that's not necessarily true. Sure, we are not exactly good, but we are not monsters either.
I personally like baking, in fact, I actually managed to make my entire house out of gingerbread once! Though in hindsight, living in a pastry house was a bad idea, it kinda attracted some unwanted attention.
Multiple times, I found a few creatures nibbling on my house, I even caught my pet magpie and giant duck at the act. But what caused me the most trouble was when I found 2 children eating at my house.
I just woke up when I heard something nibbling on my house. I thought it was another animal chewing on my house so I murmured to myself, "Who's eating up my house now?" I was pretty surprised when I heard someone reply, "Oh! It's just the wind!" I went out of the house to see a little boy and a little girl eating it.
I asked them what they were doing at my house... in the middle of nowhere... and found out that they got lost and didn't know where they were or how to get home, so being the good person I am, I decided to let them say.
Though I only really had room for one guest, so I had to send the boy to the chicken coop for the night. I also had the duck go look for their house.
Being that they might be staying for a while, I also had the kids help around the house, to... kinda repay the damages they did to it.
However, the boy was having troubles with Hansel, the rooster I had at that time who was aggressive. After a few weeks, the boy's troubles with Hansel had only grown, and since Hansel was getting kinda old, I thought that now was about the time to cook and eat him. So I went over to the little girl and told her to get the oven ready because we were gonna cook up Hansel in the chicken coop.
Later, when I was almost ready to get that old rooster from the coop, the girl said she was having trouble with the oven. so I came over to help out, but when I looked into the oven, everything seemed fine... then the little girl kicked me into the oven and locked the door. But don't worry! I know how to use fire magic, so I managed to avoid burning to death, I was slightly singed but fine. But I was still locked in the oven and was in there for a while. Fortunately, my magpie found me and picked the lock with their beak, so I was able to get out of the oven without having to destroy it.
I was a bit confused and mad by what the little girl did, but I didn't know where they went and wondered where they were, and WHAT ON EARTH WAS THE DEAL WITH PUSHING ME INTO THE OVEN! Luckily, the duck came back and explained the whole situation to me. First of all, apparently, the girl's name was Gretel, and the boy's name was... Hansel... oh, so that was why she pushed me. As for where they went, the duck did manage to find their house and did bring them home... However, kids tend to exaggerate their stories, and they told their father that they encountered an evil witch who tried to eat them... so I had to move.
So, remember, if people are staying at your house, make sure you get their NAMES!
