A/N : This one shot is partly inspired by "Elevator Mishaps and Identity Reveals" by @/HolyKingWasteLand on Ao3, which is also published on wattpad in "Peter Parker Field Trip to Stark Industries" from @/i_write_poorly. And other than that; it's just a mix of a lot of other one shots and fanfics I've read. I tried to be at least a bit original though, so enjoy!

It is another normal day at Midtown High. The hallways are crowded minutes before the first class of the day starts. Peter and Ned are talking enthusiastically about their new lego star wars set they built last night. MJ's walking, unbeknownst to the boys, behind them, trying to figure out what on earth the two dorks loved so much about these sharp little pieces of plastic. One time she accidentally stepped on one when her little brother was building lego fire station and has despised them ever since.
They walk into the art classroom and take their seats. The three of them always sit together at a table in the corner of the room. When the boys sit down they finally notice MJ who has been with them since they walked away from their lockers. "You should really consider a career as secret agent or something," Ned shakes his head. "I hear SHIELD's hiring."
"You two just don't pay attention to what's going on around you," she shrugs her shoulders, while grabbing here artwork to continue on it.
Peter and Ned do the same. If you'd put the artworks of the three students next to each other, you'd think that one is from an actual art student while the other two could just as well have been made by a couple of 8 year olds. But honestly, they couldn't care less about it. They'd rather be making another death star instead of sitting in this old musty art room in the attic of the school.
"So, you guys excited for the field trip tomorrow?" Michelle asks them, as she was working on her piece.
"Is that tomorrow already?" Peter groans. He despises field trips. The long days listening to someone talking about something he, respectfully, doesn't give a single fuck about, in a place he would never even consider voluntarily going to. It's every time a surprise where they'll go, and every single time it is just as disappointing. Museums, nature hikes, business tours; never anything fun or interesting. They don't know yet where they're headed to tomorrow, but he doesn't have any hope on anything fun either.
"That doesn't sound too excited," Ned says, looking up from his star wars drawing.
"We'll see what it's going to be this time," Peter shrugs his shoulders.
"It'd be cool if they'd take us to a prison or something," Michelle says. "Places that actually have importance to them."
Peter nods in agreement, knowing that that is never going to happen anyway. It'll be just as disappointing as all the other trips...

The next day rolls around. The morning sun is shining lazily into Peter's room through the small gaps between the curtains, when Tony finally comes to force him out of his bed. "Wakey wakey, sunshine! It's a brand new day, time to get up and get ready!"
"What are you in such a good mood for?" Peter asks his dad, squeezing his eyes to block the bright light from the sun when his dad opens the curtains.
"Oh nothing, you'll find out later..." he has a broad smirk on his face. Peter knows he's up to something, but it's way too early in the morning to even care.
Tony walks over to his closet and picks out an outfit. He throws the pieces of clothing onto his bed and then walks over to the door. "Breakfast is in 10 minutes, get dressed."
