"I'm sorry for worrying you"

She was worried.

After her father, the seventh, kawaki and Boruto returned from their meeting with Jigen and told them about Boruto's situation, Boruto began to withdraw from everyone.

It had been days and Boruto refused to talk or approach the others, and from what Mitsuki told her Boruto hadn't slept in days.

No one else knew besides her and Mitsuki but....Mitsuki found Boruto trying to commit suicide and Mitsuki being the one to stop him. She still remembered the exact moment when Mitsuki came to her a few hours ago with those words in her mouth.

She was alone in the training ground when Mitsuki came running towards her.

"-Boruto tried to commit suicide!-

"-What?- at that moment I could have sworn all her blood had rushed to her feet, leaving her as pale as a corpse.

-I found Boruto trying to stab a Kunai into his neck.-

-And he's okay?!-

-Luckily I arrived in time and was able to stop him, but when I tried to talk to him he just evaded my words and ran away.-

She felt her legs becoming weak and Mitsuki must have seen her condition because he immediately held her and helped her to sit on the floor.

A few minutes passed where no one spoke until she remembered that Boruto would most likely try to make another attempt on her life and even more so if he was alone.

-We have to find him right now!-

After that she and Mitsuki separated to look for Boruto. It had already been hours and they found nothing of him, this only put her on the verge of collapse. The more she watched the hours go by the more she sank into despair.

-Damn, damn, damn!- She desperately brought her hands to her head to pull her hair in an attempt to calm down without success, because she could only think of what her reckless friend could be doing alone, just thinking about it made her panic, not knowing what else to do she screamed with all her strength- DAMN BORUTO, WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!!- she could not contain the sobbing that came from her lips, her legs could not hold her anymore and she fell to the ground on her knees.

After a few minutes of letting out pitiful sobs, she remembered one last place they hadn't looked.

Mount Hokage.

She wiped away her tears and hurriedly made her way there.

When she finally reached the place she first saw nothing, but then she could see Boruto standing on the head of the seventh Hokage in the distance.

She felt a great relief to see him safe and sound. But suddenly his heart stopped and his breath caught in his throat as he saw Boruto begin to move slowly but surely towards the edge of the cliff.

She immediately started running towards him in a desperate attempt to stop him. He ran along the Mount but his lungs burned for oxygen and his legs felt heavy from running all day.

She saw Boruto again who was now closer to the shore, so desperate to get to him, she forced her legs to continue regardless of the pain it caused both her legs and her lungs.

No matter how far she advanced, it seemed that she was not advancing from her same place, unlike Boruto who was getting closer and closer to an imminent death.
