"I'm home."

It was a long day.

A whole day at work, it was already 3 o'clock in the morning and he was barely leaving his family's company.
The only thing he wanted right now was to get home and sleep for a long time hugging his wife.

He got into his car and drove through the deserted streets on his way home.

Once he parked the car in his garage, he took his things and entered the house, finding it completely dark and the only thing that broke the silence was the sound of the hands of the clock.

As he approached the sofa he could see one of the most beautiful scenes he had ever seen in his life.

His wife lying with their daughter in her arms sound asleep.

He knelt beside the couch watching them sleep peacefully as he felt tranquility wash over him just seeing them like that. But then that feeling changed to guilt as he realized something, if they were on the couch it meant they had been waiting up late awake until exhaustion overcame them.

He was pulled out of his thoughts by a small voice.

-Dad?- came the sleepy voice of his daughter.

When he turned his gaze to where his sleeping daughter was he realized that she had woken up and was now looking at him with those beautiful indigo blue eyes very similar to those of her grandfather Minato.

-Hello my life, how are you? Did I make you wait too long?- even after asking the last question he realized that it was a very silly question since it was almost four in the morning.

-No- said the little girl with a tender voice and then she got out of her mother's embrace, still asleep, and stretched her little arms towards him, a clear sign that she wanted to be carried by her father.

He of course did not deny this to his daughter and lifted her up in his arms and hugged her on the spot.

Maybe it was because of the movement or they made loud noises and didn't notice it because his wife started to open her eyes little by little until they opened them completely.

-Boruto? You arrived- his wife gave him a beautiful smile to which he reciprocated, he approached her still with his daughter in his arms and gave her a tender kiss on the lips.

-I'm sorry for making you wait- he murmured against her lips when they parted.

-Don't worry honey, I know you do it for us, so do whatever you think is necessary as long as you don't put too much pressure on yourself.-

-Thank you for everything Sarada.-

-You have nothing to be thankful for. Do you want to eat something? I guess you haven't had dinner- she asked as she got up to go to the kitchen, but was stopped by her husband who held her hand.

-The only thing I want right now is to sleep with my favorite girls.-

-Then let's go to sleep- answered his wife in a tired voice as she put on a small smile.

They went up to their room and lay down on the double bed next to their daughter, staying right in the middle of both of them. The little girl soon fell asleep, while her parents stayed awake for a while longer looking at each other.

Little by little they both began to fall asleep, but not before saying a few last words to each other for the day.

-I love you.-
