Fun fact: in the northernmost regions of the earth it is almost constantly night in the winter and constantly day in the summer.😺😺😺

The Arctic Council meeting had been due to commence this week, however, Iceland decided to cancel it. The other members, who weren't entirely sure why, just agreed with it an resumes what they needed to. A few concerned and curious nations had asked Iceland if everything was ok, however nothing really seemed to be wrong with the Country.
Some started talking to Iceland more, who was becoming increasingly confused as to why cancelling a meeting became so concerning for these few members. Iceland began to spend more time with the Scandinavians, while still focusing on what needed to be done.

It was also coming close to February the 6th, so Iceland, Denmark and the Arctic were invited to celebrate the day of the Sámi people. (Saami national day).

So once the day came around the Arctic immediately set out to the tips of Norway. They managed to walk across the ocean (it's not realistic 😻), and by 9am they were greeted by charming northern lights, beautiful sculptures, bright white lights hanging from every tree branch and most importantly, a great white reindeer stood in the centre of the commotion, decorated in green, blue, yellow and red ribbons.

As the morning began, speeches were made of the Sámi's history and mythology. Then celebrations and games began, leaving all the entities in the clearing quite drunk and very happy. The next morning the group ventures southwards to Denmark, in hopes of getting some sun. They didn't have to go too far south before day came, and the group spent time building things out of wood, grass and for the Arctic, snow.

As the night fell few entities remained, most had gone back home, including the Arctic.
Back in the Arctic Ocean, On a small island the Arctic was enjoying themselves by a small fire. They resided on an island that was surprisingly lush in the summer, but a bitter cold in the winter. It had a small wooden hut, and below that a much warmer bunker for research. The Arctic, when they had the time, would look at certain layers of ice, old diseases and preserved animal remains.

Pretty quickly the entity (I'm gonna call him a country from now on lmao) fell asleep, and he had curled up under a thick doona & quilt. The fire was left burning but slowly died out as the night continued.
About a day had passed before the Arctic awoke. Checking the time the country could see it was about 3pm the next day. In the darkness of the house, the Arctic let his eyes adjust , then moved to the firepit. Using a matchstick, newspaper and some small twigs he lit the fire. Once it was burning he wrapped himself up in some warm clothes and went outside to check his mailbox. Every piece of communication was vital to the nation and so once seeing that there were no letters he walked over to a desk with a telegram. Sometimes he would revive one, surprisingly. There were no telegrams sent today, so Arctic decided that since he was now refreshed, he would fill in some work for the Arctic Council.

He stayed up until 1am signing forms and proposing solutions, before putting out the fire and shuffling into bed.

This time he was awoken by the telegram, it read "Greenland, Norway and Canada are coming tomorrow." The Arctic sighed. He could tell the Arctic Council had sent it. He sent back "okay." as a brief response and went back to bed, annoyed that no one had asked him first.
