Chapter Five - This is goodbye for now...

Castle de Krake, Black Forest, Germany.
Peggy ran through the forest, leaping at inhuman heights and scaling the tall castle wall easily. She landed silently, knocking the soldiers that were there to the ground. She fought through a dozen soldiers before pressing the button for the gate, allowing Bucky, Howard and the rest of the Commandos to enter the castle and fight.
She ran over to where several Germans were hiding and dealt with them. When the final officer had been taken down, she walked over to Bucky.
"Well that was fun."
"Now comes the hard part. You go high, I'll go low?" he questioned.
"We'll shake hands in the middle. Howard?"
"Yep, coming." He said resignedly. Peggy kicked open the door and they both ran through.

The Red Skull placed the Tesseract in some sort of projector. Nodding to one of his associates, who pulled down a lever, the machine activated, causing the Tesseract to glow intensely. The light increased until a large portal formed. Protruding from the portal came several tentacles...

The Commandos came around a corner, knocking out the guards standing in front of a heavily armoured door. Entering, they saw the HYDRA Stomper suit, and Steve, chained, but alive.

Peggy and Howard came to a halt as they looked for a clue as to which path to go on. "Hey, which way are we going?" Howard asked, slightly out of breath. Peggy looked to the right, where a blue glow reflected off the walls. "That way." Peggy began to run up the staircase.
"Should we not have a plan?" Howard hissed.
"Who needs a plan, I have a shield."
"A shield is not a plan. Oh, Carter..." Howard grumbled under his breath as he ran after her.

Red Skull laughed maliciously. "The champion of HYDRA has risen!" Peggy broke through the door, Howard following closely behind. She stopped and stared in shock. "CRIKEY!"
"Monsters? No one prepared me for actual monsters." Howard complained, also in shock. "You are too late, Captain Carter. I have summoned the champion of H-" The Red Skull was interrupted as a tentacle grabbed him, crushing him to death. "WHOA!" Howards exclaimed. "Okay, maybe we need a plan." Peggy admitted.

Bucky ran over to Steve, who groaned. "Steve! Steve. Come on, pal. Don't give up on me! Hey, I need a hand! Come on, help me get him out of here!"
