Odyssey - How To Tame A Demon

Chapter 13. Tokyo

Tokyo, Japan’s busiest capital, with all its ultra modern skyscrapers, neon lights and historic temples, Tokyo's famous Skytree, stands above in the middle of its streets, seemingly unaware that a black sedan entering its borders, inside of the said car is one of the world's most powerful ability user.

Having to wake up early in the morning, Chuuya uses the opportunity to rest and relax. Leaning in the car’s window, Chuuya watches as the trees in the highway are slowly being replaced by buildings and establishments as they enter Tokyo city. The city is only an hour or two drive from Yokohama. The duo, Chuuya and Fyo, are heading to the Port Mafia’s base in Tokyo, a Hotel and Casino, established by their members as a front business.

“We're here,” Fyo announced.

Throughout the whole journey the two did not even utter or share a conversation. Chuuya just lets the other drive while he watches the scenery outside. Hearing the others' voices he shifted his attention to the road and then to his driver. They arrived at a luxurious hotel, with valets and tourists walking around. This time, without waiting for the other to open the door for him, Chuuya got out of the car. Fyo followed him and took their small bags not wanting others to hold them but gave the car key to the valet for him to park it. Though annoyed to the other person, Chuuya just put up with him and did not bother with him if not necessary. It's not that he is like Dazai, someone with equal footing as a fellow executive, while Fyo on the other hand is just a handy man and assistant at the bottom of the Port Mafia ranks. If he deem Fyo was useless in the mission he would just ditch him. Chuuya went to one of the soft couches in the lobby while he let Fyo handle their stay.

Chuuya plans on finishing this mission as fast as he could, therefore he wants to go straight to the informant as soon as they get his location from their headquarters in Tokyo. However, arriving at the said establishment, and Chuuya was yet to settle in one of the couches, he was about to sit when he was greeted by the manager of the hotel, beaming at him wide while rubbing his hands. Chuuya was given generous hospitality. When the people of the establishment found out that one of the Port Mafia’s top 5 executives is coming for a short trip, they immediately prepare his accommodation. They are wondering why someone  high ranking in the mafia will visit them, therefore they should be careful, this could be a good opportunity.

“Hello sir Nakahara, I hope the place is to your liking” The manager said while standing near Chuuya’s seat.

“We have prepared a breakfast for you, if you would, please” Said the manager while pointing in the direction with both of his hands.

“No, it's fine … I'm here for a short while, you don't have to …” “We prepared a breakfast wine only for you sir, some freshly baked pastries with light compatible wine beverages'' Chuuya was cut off by the manager’s offer. And after hearing wines on the menu, thoughts about the morning’s work flew off in his head. “Cough cough” Chuuya cleared his throat. “Well then, send them to my room” “No no no no no” The manager opposed. “We can't have you eat on you room sir, we also prepared some entertainment for you, you see we just situated a mini theater near the dining area for our guest to watch while having their meal, but we also have a vip room for those who wish for privacy, come this way” The manager added.

Chuuya was almost half dragged by the manager and his employees to the dining area to curry favor from him. And Chuuya awkwardly follows them, as Chuuya, even with his position, was not a prick or a douche when it comes to the underlings, especially if he was treated fairly. And being treated like a valuable guest, Chuuya can’t just decline.

Chuuya awkwardly smiled at the hotel personnel when he saw Fyo in the front desk displaying that annoying smile he had. He saw that the clerk handed him some room keys. Fyo then picked up their bags and waved a hand on him and left for this room, this got him annoyed. He just wants to start the mission already. Though it is known that Chuuya will be arriving at the hotel, their purpose is undisclosed to anyone in there.
