At night, when the church was silent, Chuuya and Fyo went out, searching the place for any clues about the nun's ability. Fyo led them to the altar, the place was quiet, only the distant sound of occasional vehicles and the flaps of wings from the doves outside could be heard.

"Why are we here? We could drug the nun and check her things or search in the morning while she's working," Chuuya suggested, frustration clear in his voice.

Fyo laughed softly. "I just wanted to marry you again," he teased, glancing at Chuuya standing in the middle of the aisle, bathed in moonlight. "You look pretty."

Chuuya blushed, trying to maintain his composure. "Be serious," he snapped.

Fyo's laughter echoed in the quiet church. "When we toured the altar, especially the wine cellar, I noticed the nun had a particular reaction. There's something there."

Fyo began examining the walls around the cellar. After a moment, he pressed a movable stone block. The mat on the floor shifted, revealing a hidden trapdoor.

Chuuya wasn't even surprised at Fyo's ability to read the nun so accurately. The two entered the underground room, walking about 200 meters through a narrow passage before finding an underground storage room. Chuuya noticed a mirror half-covered by a dusty cloth. Curious about the words engraved on the frame, he pulled off the fabric, revealing a full-length mirror.

Before he could call Fyo over, Chuuya was engulfed in a white light and found himself in a dark room. Disoriented, he looked around and tried to summon his ability, but nothing happened.

As his eyes adjusted, he realized he was in an oddly familiar laboratory. His clothes had changed, and when he walked towards the noise he heard, he found a small boy cowering in a corner, tears in his eyes, with cables attached to his body. Chuuya's heart sank. The boy looked exactly like him. This was that laboratory.

Chuuya hurried to the boy's side, removing the cables. The boy remained unconscious. Nearby, Chuuya saw a tank containing another boy who looked just like him, floating in the water. Suddenly, the boy in the tank opened his eyes—eyes that glowed red like Arahabaki's.

"Arahabaki," Chuuya whispered, horrified.

The boy in the tank broke free and lunged at Chuuya. Without his ability, Chuuya could only watch as his younger self, now Arahabaki, impaled him. His body began to crack, and the boy in his arms disintegrated into dust. Ultimately, he couldn't save anyone or stop Arahabaki from taking control of his body.

"Chibiiiii! Chuuyayaaa!"

The distant voice snapped him back. Chuuya found himself standing in front of the mirror, with Fyo calling his name, his face serious and unreadable.

Chuuya looked at the mirror, still processing what had happened. Fyo held him as he struggled to regain his balance.

"Illusions?" Fyo asked.

"Perhaps, but not entirely," Chuuya replied, trying to ease the discomfort in his head.

After composing himself, Chuuya looked back at the mirror. "Phantoms of the past and dread in the heart," Fyo read aloud from the frame. It seemed to be the work of an ability user, making people confront their past and worst fears. For Chuuya, it was Arahabaki taking control.

"There's something in there," Fyo said, pointing to the reflection in the mirror.

Chuuya saw the reflection of a table with a neat blue box, piles of gold coins, and trinkets. Fyo punched the cracked area softly and retrieved the box. Inside, they found the key they were looking for and photos of the church along with a note with the nun's name.

Suddenly, they sensed a presence nearby. The nun entered the room and saw the box in Fyo's hands.

"Only gods could take that box... that's what the person who sealed it said, to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands," she said calmly.

"A priest, perhaps?" Fyo asked.

"Yes. The contents of that mirror attracted many brigands, so it was hidden. But before it could be used for the common folk, our dear priest left us, leaving the mirror locked. I never knew it could be opened, again" the nun explained.

"Will you be taking them?" she asked.

"Only this one," Fyo said, showing her the key.

"I see. For the one who broke it, you have the right to take them. You have my thanks. This church will now have support and resources for the next decade," the nun said, still amicable despite their deceit. She let them sleep for the night.

...

Chuuya relaxed on a patio, gazing at the London moon. With the latest key, they had six—three more to complete their mission. He remembered the earlier events and knew Fyo had seen everything through the mirror. His past was a source of insecurity. He expected to feel enraged, but instead, he felt shy. Fyo hadn't asked about it, just working quietly on his computer somehow, which made Chuuya upset. But he was not entirely sure of why he was upset, maybe it was the fact that Fyo did not even bother with his secret or the fact that the mission was almost finished.

"What the h*ll Am I thinking" Chuuya almost hit his head to forget his thoughts.

He inhaled the fresh night air when suddenly something warm and white with blue spots dropped on his arm. It smelled horrible—bird poop from the pigeons and doves. Realizing the patio was covered in it, Chuuya exploded.

"What the actual f*ck..." he cursed, rushing inside to find Fyo occupying the bathroom.

"Open up! It smells horrible!" Chuuya banged on the door, stripping off his clothes to get rid of the smell. When he tried the doorknob, it was unlocked.

Inside, he saw Fyo standing in front of the mirror, wrapping something around his chest. "You don't need to put on a disguise; we're already blown."

Fyo chuckled softly, her eyes glinting with mischief. "Would you like a closer look, Chibi?"

Chuuya was too shocked to react. Fyo finished binding her chest and slipped on a white shirt, walking towards Chuuya with a playful smile. She stopped just inches from him, her breath warm against his cheek.

"You... you're a woman?" Chuuya stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.

Fyo chuckled again, the sound low and teasing. "Biologically, yes... yes I am, husband," she murmured, her lips brushing against his ear. She slid her hands down his sides, lingering at his waist before squeezing his buttocks lightly. Her teeth grazed his neck in a playful bite.

Chuuya, still frozen, realized he was standing naked before her. They had been sharing a bed for months, changing clothes in front of him or her, he thought.

His face turned even redder. He had expected Fyo to be surprised about his identity, but now he was the one left in shock, looking at himself in the mirror, completely flustered.

Fyo stepped back, laughing softly at Chuuya's expression. "Don't take too long, Chibi, have a good night." She left the bathroom, leaving Chuuya standing there, heart racing and mind spinning.
