Chuuya managed to calm himself after his startling discovery about Fyo, but the thought of them sharing a room was too much. He ended up kicking Fyo out, insisting they shouldn't sleep together, even though they had been sleeping together since almost the beginning of their mission. The next morning, guilt gnawed at him when he found Fyo waiting by the door, looking upset, like a dog abandoned by its owner. The look in Fyo's eyes hinted at a desire for a little revenge on the redhead.
**The night before...**
Chuuya, still dazed from the whirlwind of the last few days, lingered in the bathroom until his fingers wrinkled. His mind raced with thoughts of their mission, how many keys they still needed to find, and how Fyo, who was actually a woman, had managed to get under his skin in ways he hadn't anticipated—especially with her insistence on sharing a bed and touching him freely. He had the sudden urge to smack himself for not noticing earlier, but then again, Fyo's disguise was impeccable. After all, Fyo had managed to make Chuuya look convincingly feminine, so it made sense.
Finally feeling somewhat composed, Chuuya washed off the last traces of bird feces and its smell, then stepped out of the bathroom. He spotted Fyo typing away on the computer, lost in her work.
"You!" Chuuya called out, his face flushing red just at the sight of her.
Fyo turned, her expression curious as she looked up from the screen.
"You have to get out. You shouldn't sleep in here. A man and a woman shouldn't share the same room. Even in the Port Mafia, we follow that rule," Chuuya declared, his voice laced with awkwardness.
"Unless they're married," Fyo replied with a smirk.
Chuuya's eyes widened in realization. He had forgotten that little detail—they were technically married now. But still, the thought of sleeping in the same room with Fyo, now that he knew she was a woman, was too much for him to handle. He averted his gaze, too embarrassed to even look at her.
Fyo's smirk only grew as she watched the redhead squirm.
But the plan backfired as the next morning, Fyo was already waiting for him, sipping tea, fully dressed in a sharp gray tuxedo. Beside him was a box of clothes, ready for their supposed week of devotion at the church.
"Good morning, my Chibi. It's a wonderful day. Please wear this!" Fyo said with a cheerful smile, holding up the outfit.
**Current Day...**
For reasons Chuuya couldn't quite grasp, Fyo had managed to persuade the nuns to let them stay at the church and participate in a fake "week of devotion" to be blessed with a "child," claiming that the other nuns and priests were already aware of their situation. The mere thought of a child born from them made Chuuya's cheeks redden, and he quickly pushed the thought away.
To Chuuya's annoyance, the nun had also asked them to help out around the church if they had time, a request that Fyo gladly accepted. Among their tasks were finding a genuine appraiser for the items and treasures they had discovered inside the mirror and creating this year's church pamphlet.
Watching Fyo attend church services, anyone would commend how devout and religious he appeared to be.
"It's so repulsive," Chuuya muttered, cringing at the thought. "If only they knew how unhinged that person is. And if only that jackass slept in the room, he wouldn't have had the time to get these clothes and talk to the nun and scheme like this... tsk," Chuuya sighed in defeat. "If we could just start searching for the next key, that would be great."
