NICO POV
I walked with Leo and Piper off the train, well aware of the golden trio gossiping behind me. I knew we looked suspicious, but they didn't have to be so quick to judge.
We walked up to the carriages(I spelled that wrong, didn't I)
Leo stopped in his tracks, "What's pulling the cart?" Piper nodded.
"Those are Theastrals, (sp?)only people who have seen death can see them." I said.
"Oh"
"Wait, you can see them too, Harry tells us that only him and Luna can," asked the red haired boy.
"We can see them," said Piper sadly.
"Who di. . . " Ron started, but Hermione elbowed him.
We all got into the carriage, and rode in an awkward silence.
MINUTES LATER
I had to admit, the castle was amazing, but I had seen Olympus, so I wasn't that impressed.
I hopped of the cart and followed the other students.
They led us into a hallway where a old woman was showing smaller children in a line.
Leo noticed her and cried out, "MINNIE!?"
Several students gasped.
The lady turned around, about to scold whoever called her that, but then ran over and pulled Leo into a hug, I was glad that I wasn't in his place.
"Jeez lady, I don't want to die again." Leo said in Greek.
She let go and slapped him in the back of the head, everyone around us had their mouths open, I guessed this lady was not usually like this.
"YOU BRAT, you don't message me for two months and then you show up here!" she replied in Greek.
Leo turned back to us," This is Minnie, she's a clear sighted mortal."
"The one you keep on IM'ing? But she was younger?" I said.
"I took aging potions so I could keep my cover, and you're one to comment on age Nico, I'm still younger than you. Leo told me about you and Piper. You know, he still ships you with Percy, but it's SO OBVIOUS that you are with tha-"
"Minerva, the first years." came a low creepy voice, though I was thankful for the interruption.
We turned around to see a tall, thin man with a hooked nose and slimy black hair.
"Oh, yes yes, Professor Snape, I was just talking to the new exchange students."
"Ah yes, the new . . . . . exchange students."
He stared at the other kids in the hallway, making them flinch. "Shouldn't you be heading to the great hall?"
The group of students started moving again, and the man turned back to us, "I will take them to the door, you need to handle the first years, Minerva."
He led us to two big doors, the man stopped and told us to wait outside until introduced. He opened the doors and walked in, leaving a gap so we could hear.
