{a week after}

"Have a great time in Hawaii." Jane, the tiny old lady, chirped as Zayn and I filed discharge papers.

"Thank you Jane!" I piped up. "Zayn will you go get the car for me?"

Zayn nodded and kissed my bald, scared head.

The surgery left an ugly scare; and an ugly reminder. Doctor Stone said it should lessen in the coming weeks, but it didn't matter anymore.

I was dying. Slowly, painfully dying. Sure the surgery gave me a little but more time, but deep down, I knew it wasn't enough.

I wanted to raise a family with Zayn. I wanted to live a long happy life with Zayn. I didn't want to leave Zayn. I couldn't leave Zayn.

There was nothing I could do about it though. I was in fact at the end of my life, and I knew it. At least I have to privilege to spend my last month with my favorite person in my favorite place doing my favorite things.

"Miss Roxi." Doctor Stone started.

"Dr. Stone." I shot back.

"Have fun." He smiled.

"I know you're going to give me a sappy story and tell me to make the best of this month because you will never see me again, ever."

He looked down and nodded. He even let a few tears slip down his cheeks to hit the floor.

"Thank you Dr. Stone. You really helped me." I smiled at him. "I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have you with me these last few months. Thank you. Maybe one day we'll meet again. I don't know. But whatever happens, on this last good bye, I want you to know how thankful I am for you, and your staff." I reached out to hug him.

"Roxi you're an inspiration for us all. It is unfortunate of your situation, but you reman so positive. Thank YOU for coming into my life."

"Thank you." I whispered. "Oh and one more thing before I go." I said when I pulled away from the hug.

"Anything."

"The Beauty and the Beast room. The one I always got. Promise me you'll save it for someone like me. Someone with my cancer. Someone who needs it like I did. That is Ali ask of you before I go for good. Thank you Dr. Stone." I nodded my head and walked out of the office without turning back.

That was the last time. The last time seeing Doctor Stone and the last time seeing Jane. The last time in my room.

Good bye.

I pushed threw the heavy doors to outside and spotted Zayn leaning up against the car, taking a long drag from his cigaret. When he spotted me, he quickly threw the stub to the ground and stomped on it.

"Thank you Zayn." I smiled and proceeded to walk towards the car.

I climbed in and rested my hand on Zayn's when he came in too.

"I'm going to miss this." I whispered under my breath so only I could hear.

"What honey?" Zayn questioned pulling out of the parking lot.

"Nothing Zayn." I smiled at him and turned up the radio.
