Chapter 10 Return....

BRIELLE POV

I woke up the next morning....alone? I looked around the room after wiping my eyes. "Did he really just leave me here alone after last night? I got out of bed, and walked to the restroom to see if Bryce was there.....nothing. I walked towards the mirror, to get a good look at my mark. It looked alot deeper now, more prominent. I blushed and smiled to myself. I opened the door, walked out and down the stairs. He wasn't in the living room, or dinning area. I walked into the kitchen and found a note, with a plate food next to it. Yay food!

Brielle,

I am sorry that I will not be there when you wake. I have gone to the training grounds, I am meeting Sytell there, I will be back soon. Here's breakfast. I know how you love to eat. Sytell, and Chanel have returned with information that needs to be discussed. Chanel should be in the study. I love you. See you soon.

Well okay, I thought. I chowed down in a hurry to find Chanel. I wonder why I didn't think to look in the study for Bryce first. (Shrug) Oh well, I'll let "me just waking up" be the reason if im being generous to myself. After I finished and cleaned my dish, I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I started on my way to Sytells study immediately after. I knock and heard "come in" before I pushed the door open to enter.

"Hey Elle. I'm so glad to see you." Chanel said while sitting in Sytells Alpha man chair behind his desk. It suits her. She deserves to be Luna. I rolled a chair over, sitting down in front of her, and lightly twisting myself side to side. "Glad to see you too Nelly. How was your trip back to Nova Sky to see dear old dad?" "That's what I've been waiting to talk to you about! I thought it'd be best for me to explain it to you, and well, we need more time together." "I agree," I said smiling. Yeah so what's up? Hows that cookie crumbling in NovaSky?" "She pursed her lips. I could see the worry written all over her face. "Okay. So, my father is a complete nut job. My mom is being mind controlled, Mitch is a complete idiot, and they are all going to unfortunately die horrible deaths due to stupidity. She said. "I sat for a minute, to let it soak in. "That can't be it. Nel we already knew this," I laughed hysterically. No but seriously what happened?" I said trying not to laugh. It wouldn't have been so funny if her face wasn't so twisted up. She smiled a little, and then took a deep breath. I knew that she was going to hit me with everything now. "Elle, my father" She paused getting a little choked up. I stared at her impatiently waiting for the news that was making her so emotional.

"When we got to NovaSky, Sytell and I went directly to my father to discuss matters. He talked about rogues trying to gather and attack packs. Also, that he doesn't have a clue as to why, or who's commanding them. I know when father lies. There was something evil in his eyes. Something that I have only seen a few times ever in my life." She looked down for a moment and then stared straight into my eyes. Her eyes began to water. Mine began to get glossy over just seeing her that way. She's been my bestfriend all of my life. Elle, Ive cometely lost my family. My dad, he..I mean....he isn't there anymore. He's some kind of psychopath, my mom never smiles or speaks her mind anymore. Its always about "what dad wants" with her now. Mitch, oh my sweet brother Mitch, and his need to impress dad is  going to get him killed and its all that he seems to care about. He wants to show him that he has what it takes. I know Mitch, and I know that he's just scared of what will happen if he proves himself useless to dad. If dad could all but exile and kill Bryce, I dont know what dad may be willing to do to him, I'm scared for my brother Elle, and I think that mom is too far gone to understand the sacrifice that she is making. I don't want to loose them all," she said with a tear rolling down her cheek. I sighed and shook my head. I didn't know how I could help but I had to do something. I had to try something, anything. "Okay so tell me what you want Nel and I'll give it everything that I got." "There's more Elle. As I was walking about the pack speaking to everyone, I ran into the leader of the Whitley doing her slut strut." I rolled my eyes at that. "Whitley told me that her and her little shadow Brittany don't get along anymore, says that she stole her man or something."  I burst into a fit of laughter. "Is Brittany Mitch's mate?" I said wide eyed in disbelief chuckling while holding my chest. "Mmm hmm," She said with a smirk. "Oh that is gold! Pure fucking gold!" I said still not being able to believe what I was hearing.

"Whitley went on to tell me that as she was walking about the halls one day looking for Mitch, she heard dad talking in a hushed tone. Well, with superior senses and all, she heard him saying that he made some type of plans, and that he's the rogue master? She said that he laughed afterwards in a menacing way, and continued on to say that he was looking to destroy his own pack!"

My eyes widened at that and my mouth all but hit the floor. What the hell is wrong with this douche. Would he really destroy NovaSky. If so, why? My family is still there. What is he going to do with Mitch? With Chanels mom? I wonder if my dad knows anything about this. "Elle, I'm scared for the pack. We have to do something we can't just.....sit around with this information. Innocent people will die," She said not even sure if she could believe everything that she had heard. "Nel does my father know about this?" I asked with stitched eyebrows. "I dont, I don't know. They know that you and Bryce are gone. They sent out a search team to search the perimeter, calling different alphas and telling them to capture you two and report back if you were found. He's offering alot of money for your capture and return. I wouldn't be surprised if he's using rogues to do his dirty work." I have to call my dad. I just have to hope that he's not with the Alpha on this, but would my father go against his alpha, his bestfriend? Disobeying his Alpha and being disloyal to his pack?

"Don't worry Chanel we will figure this out. I need to speak to Bryce first." She nodded and smiled. "I love you Elle. Your the best friend a girl could ever even dream of having." "You too Nel. Okay let's get started. Let's see what the guys have come up with and get this all figured out."

We met up with Bryce and Sytell at the training grounds. They both looked serious, throwing commands here and there. "He's strengthening the pack so that they are war ready", my wolf said standing tall. I smiled in admiration. He really is the best thing that could have ever happened.

As I walked up to him he spun around and picked me up by the waste. He twirled me around, and then gave me a kiss. "I was wondering if you had gotten lost and what was taking you so long. I thought you would have been here by now mate." His smile made my heart melt. I forgot about everything but him in that moment. He lowered me down until my feet were back on the ground. "It was getting hard for me to be away from you." I took his hand in mine, and told him that we needed to talk. "Agreed", he said. His wolf was showing and i knew it was because of the situation we were facing.

Once we all got back to Chanels house, we all sat in the living room area to discuss matters. "Alright, so what it all boils down to  is we are at war. We are going to have to take the Alpha out. Its the only logical thing to do. With him around we will have to worry about whether Mitchell is going to help, the safety of the luna, the pack, the rogues, and try to keep you all hidden until then." After Joshua said it out loud, it sounded like alot. I could tell by the look on Chanels face that even though her dad was an evil man, she was still worried. He is still her father and I know that she doesn't want him to be killed. I wish that there was another way as well. "What are we going to do about mom Bryce?" Chanel whispered. He sat quietly for a moment, then spoke to Chanel in a calm tone. "We will just have to try and convince her that what Alpha Nova is doing is putting lives in danger. Her son is also at risk. Alpha Nova is her mate, and that is probably the only reason why she is still hanging in there. It is her duty as Luna. If it comes down to it , and I'm sure that it will, killing him will pretty much have her go insane. Her mate bond will break and she will lose the love of her life. We have to be careful with this." He said, not really being able to answer her question. "So what are we going to do?" I asked him. "We aren't going to do anything. Its simple really. I will kill my father, thus becoming the NEW ALPHA of NOVASKY. It HAS TO BE ME....
