Chapter 5 Shift....

"Oh my gosh!.. OOOOHHHH MY GOSH! What do I do, what do I do!" I hush yelled. "Go out to the clearing, and stay there. I will be there as soon as I can. Tell no one of this", Bryce said into the mind link. Alright I can do this, I thought to myself.

As calm as I really didn't feel, I walked as calmly as my body would allow passed everyone, as I made my way to the clearing. "Shit", I hissed as I noticed that my father was walking up to me. "Hey Princess, where ya headed?", my dad said as he pulled me into a hug. "Oh nowhere in particular dad you know, just uh.....headed to the clear.....I mean the car, yeah just headed to go and take my car out for a spin, maybe get a wash." "Okay well your welcome for your birthday gift. How do you like it?" He asked, hopeful that I'd love his gift for me."Oh its just amazing dad really, thank you I appreciate the car...a..and you alot!", I struggled to say because the pain was increasing. "You okay Princess? Why are you making those silly faces?", my dad said with an eyebrow raised. "Faces dad? I dont..I don't know what your talking about I'm fine. Catch you later dad" as i hurridly planted a peck on his cheek. "Love you." "Love you too, and be careful out there. I'd appreciate it if you were back before dark". "Will do dad. See ya later".

"That was close," I thought. I ran as fast as I could to the clearing, and when I got there, Bryce wasn't there yet. "Great". The next thing I knew, my body was thrown to the ground in excruciating pain. My back started to arch, and my bones were cracking. The only thing I could think is, what's the death rate of first shifters? I held a scream in as my legs started to take new shape. "Oh my gosh when is it going to be over". What I'm sure was only a few minutes, felt like days. I closed my eyes and took deep breaths.

When I opened my eyes, and I saw my new paws, I was sure that I survived. "Yeees, I did it! Go Elle, go Elle, you did it, your pretty awesome, Im..", I stopped cheering for myself, because I noticed that my wolf was white. "White!", I thought to myself. Wait white wolf's are usually Lunas yes, but only through an Alpha bloodline.. but im a Betas daughter..right?" My wolf began to pace. "What's going on with you?" I asked her. "I sense something" was all she said."Something like what? It could be Bryce he's supposed to be come.." "No something else" she said. I was about to respond but then I was tackled to the ground. Fear spiked with in me. I rolled over, and stood still, looking around for what could have just tackled me. Then I seen a man wearing an evil smirk come from behind a tree in the clearing.

"What have we got here? Hello kitten. Aren't you just adorable?", he said while walking up, and stopping just a few feet in front of me. I thought to myself," Whats your problem dude, you could've at least brought shorts to cover yourself up man, put that thing away." I put a paw over my eyes trying not to see him in all his nakedness. How the hell did he even manage to get onto pack grounds?

He chuckled to himself. "So your the Betas daughter, yes? And newly shifted." He looked at me like he hadn't eaten in years, and I was a fresh steak. "Ok what does this guy want from me?" I though. "A response? Kind of a wolf right now." "The Alpha would love this. I may get pushed up in ranks if I kill you" he smirked devilishly. Alpha? But he's rogue I can smell it.

Rogues are very dangerous wolves. They have either abandoned pack life altogether, or have been banished from the pack by order of the Alpha, which means that they can't return due to a catastrophic disobedience. Rogues don't follow any rules. They live where ever they make camp, and kill for fun. They are believed to be relentless killers. He doesn't have an Alpha. So why would he say that his Alpha would be pleased if... "Stand and fight. We are stronger than he thinks.", my wolf said. We are? Because he looks pretty big to me, and I don't think..."Our blood is joined with that of our mates now. Our mate is powerful. We are powerful by blood right. Believe me." "Uh ok?" While I was talking to my wolf I didn't realize that the rogue shifted back into his large wolf. Before I got chance to attack, he was already in mid air. I was waiting for a blow that never came. When I opened my eyes, I could see the biggest, midnight black wolf, that I have ever seen.

"Holy effing smokes!", I thought." Who is that?" My wolf stood proud. I stared in awe at the black wolf as he ripped the rogue to pieces. I watched as the rogue bled out onto the grass His head inches away from the rest of his body.

After he was done, he stood tall. He looked at me, and then up to the sky. He went behind a tree, and shifted back into his human form. He walked back to me and said "Shift". He definately had authority in his voice but I couldn't figure out why. He threw a long t-shirt at me. I grabbed it with my teeth and went behind a tree to shift. My wolf told me to just think of my human form to shift back. Before I knew it, I was naked on the forest floor. I threw the shirt over my head, and put it on.

I walked back over to him, and was immediately engulfed in a hug. "I'm so glad that you are okay. My wolf sensed trouble, and I got here as soon as I could. I thanked the moon goddess that I got here when I did. I'm sorry I didn't make it for your first shift. I will forever regret that you had to go through that alone." I looked up at him, and smiled. "It's ok Bryce. You saved my life. How will I ever repay you?" I asked teary-eyed. "You are my mate, you do not ever have to repay me. It is my duty to keep you safe, and love you unconditionally."

"What a scene", I thought to myself. He's perfect. "Your wolf is beautiful, my love. A white wolf, with hazel eyes. That is very unique. The color of your wolf will look amazing by my wolf's side." "Speaking of wolves...why is your wolf so huge?", I asked remembering that his wolf was gigantic.

"I have Alpha blood, beautiful", he said with a cocky smirk. Boy do I love that smirk. I tilted my head to the side, and raised an eyebrow in confusion. "How's that?", I pressed. "You are absolutely adorable and because I am Bryce Nova." "Okaaay?, sooooo what does that mean? "He let out a deep chuckle. That MEANS that my father is Alpha Norris Nova." I gasped louder than I knew that I could. I dont know how i still hadnt put two and two together! I just stared at him after that. I didn't know what question to ask first. He continued with "I am the next TRUE ALPHA HEIR.....

Sorry so short readers but I will be updating later on tonight. I have mommy duties :0)) love my little guy he definitely a blessing. He's stuck on the word orange today. I love watching him grow. Absolutely priceless.
