CHAPTER 3

EMPEROR'S(QING LI)'S POV

I am the 30th son of the late grand Emperor, Qing shi. The path I took to gain the crown was not an easy one but, I have no regrets. It was to kill or to be killed, and I chose the latter.

My path was filled with the bloodshed of my brothers, sister, relatives and those that opposed me. I am a product of a mistake between the grand emperor and a lady-in-waiting(one who is to serve the empress).

The empress hated me for a mistake that was committed not by me, and made sure my life and that of my mother's was miserable.

I could not blame my mom. Who in their right senses will reject an Emperor, only those that wanted a free ticket to die.

The power in which I hold and yield was acquired through force, fear and blood. I had to make a statement that everyone will not forget. I became feared for my numerous winning on the battlefield and killings, Ha! even the late grand Emperor feared me.

I made sure he slept with one eye open every night, always wary about people around him and always looking out for an assassination.

Father or not, I got my retribution by making him fear for his life. I killed him slowly and I enjoyed it.

The late grand Empress was not spared. I killed everyone she knew and trusted, one by one and made sure she knew it was my doings.

I made her watch her sons, daughters and allies die a slow painful and shameful death. It was fun to watch her lose her mind like how she made my mother lose hers.

I installed fear in each and every one of my subjects, I do not need love, I only need respect and fear. And I got what I wanted but, one general is a torn in my flesh.

General Shi

He has proven to be a stubborn man and he does not fear me. My people have told me that he is building an army to overthrow me, 'the tyrant king'.

I have tried to take over his power in the army, but that one cannot be easily done. Once a soldier swears his loyalty to you, nothing on earth can make him disloyal.

Hence, I tricked his daughter Lichen to fall in love with me.

It was a peace of cake to achieve. A flirtatious smile, kind gestures, giving her special treatment and she fell like a fool into my trap.

I planned to have my revenge on General Shi using his daughter. I have succeeded in making her life horrible, that she wished she has never been born.

Getting his daughter, I have managed to get him under control but this control will only last for some time, so I must act fast.

Some might consider me inhumane for dragging an innocent person into this play, but I have far passed being considered good.

I have successfully made her life miserable, by getting as many wives as possible, making sure that she is just an Empress by name and nothing more, ensuring she won't carry any of my children.. Treating her like a prostitute and nothing more dirty.

Ah! Her nectar tastes heavenly whenever I sink myself inside her and it is more pleasurable when she tries to fight me off and shows signs of pain.

I have taken her multiple times even in the presence of my council. Her sweet nectar I am addicted to, even though I tell myself not to have a taste to make her die of sexual starvation, I end up taking her over and over again.
