RACHEL
Moments later, after hearing loud college students in the hall coming out from both sides of the aisle; then she comes across her room with A10 nailed on the door. Once opening the door, rap music blasts out throughout the place, and a blonde girl dancing with her hands tangled up in her hair, and the stranger turns around. The girl finds me just standing by the door, and she unexpectedly jumps in fright, "Oh my god. You scared the shit out of me," she snaps out as trying to catch her breath and pick up her clothes off the floor.
"Hi, are you Abigail...?" I glanced at my schedule to wonder if I went to the dorm room, "Abigail Thomas? she questions. The girl doesn't answer right away from putting her clothes away in her side of the small closet, " Yes. I'm, but everybody calls me Abby. You must be Rachel Carson." Abby directly says as soon as walking towards me to hug me. Seconds later, I go back to the hallway to get the rest of my stuff, like bedding and such, that got shipped there a week before school started since they've been in a storage unit.
"Hi, that's correct. Nice to meet you," I answered her question then made my bed.
Hours Later, I decorate my side of the room when Abby is out partying at the frat party that's thrown tonight... but it's not my type of thing. Anyways, when I organize my space with stacks of books on the empty bookshelf and a bunch of light pastel colors, Abby's side is filled with punk rock band posters on the red walls and clothes all over the floor.
...
During one in the morning, I return my dorm after using the community girls restroom. I stroll over to my nightstand; grab my phone and headphones to annoy the blasting music that's going on outside of the building. While still dancing like a fool, I see a random guy sitting on her bed from the corner of my eyes. Which makes me jump out of my skin, but I suddenly notices the guy is not just a random person. It's Ezra from the flight, coming from his messy blonde locks to the vivid emerald eyes.
"Ezra?" I question as removing the headphones and begins to walk towards him but stops from the overpowering smell of alcohol on him. He feels someone looking at him, "What the hell are you looking?".
Ezra blinks twice to wonder if he sees things. Still, he's not, "I'm sorry that I was a bastard to you again. I didn't know this was your room or anybody's room because I thought it was an empty room, but anyway." He confuses as smirking a smile and licks his smooth lips from looking at me.
"What's up with that smirk?" I was puzzled and tried to hide my smile from being a little happy for seeing Ezra again.
Ezra lowers down from glancing at my tan legs matching with my panties, "I'm not going to lie honey; nice dancing, especially with those." his voice thickness up when calling her 'honey' and from being drunk.
She tilts her head, "What?"
"Nice Dancing with those panties," Ezra tried to say his apology. Still, he got distracted from how beautiful underneath the sarcasm and the broken look he has in his eyes, in his point of view. Rachel gives a glare, then looks down to notice she's just in a t-shirt and panties. I head to the closet, puts something on, and gets away from the strong smell of alcohol that's on him. Seconds later, I find a pair of gray shorts, "What are you doing here? You rink of alcohol." I said.
He signs in annoyance. "Oh, relax. I didn't know this was your room; I just thought it was an empty room because I'm too... " he tries explaining, but the amount of vodka and beer took over to make him fall off the bed. He starts laughing, my eyes bugged out, runs towards to get his laughing ass over to Abby's bed.
"Are you okay?" I accidentally shouts forgetting he's drunk.
"Ouch! I have ears, you know; anyway, I meant saying, I'm way too buzz or drunk to go to my room, which is at the other side of campus," he mumbles as taking off his brown leather boots.
He looks at her, "Do you mind if I stay? Just for tonight? Hold up his hands of an offense; I move her head back and forth to decide, then give in to him, "Sure but be quiet," I quietly tells him, putting her pointer finger on her complete lips.
"Okay, thank you," he thanks her in a sleepy tone of voice and gets under the covers. Rachel smiles while turning off the lights before going to bed.
A few hours later, Abby stomps back in the room, being loud and completely wasted. I'm sound asleep until overhearing someone vomiting on the other side of the room. I get up, walk over to the sound, and see Abby; her head is over the trash like a dog drinking out from the toilet. Rachel bends down to hold up her hair to avoid getting vomited on. Once it's done, I get back to bed, but suddenly, there's snoring coming from Abby. So I put my headphones back on until feeling the need through my body to go to the restroom.
"Fuck!" I groans under her breath. As getting out of bed, I look down on the floor, and surprisingly Ezra is by the bed, just peacefully sleeping.
The morning after taking care of Ezra and Abby, I still managed to get some sleep. Her phone vibrates from an alarm clock on that, shuts it off, and notices that Ezra is gone. Seconds later, Rachel rubs her sleepy brown eyes while walking towards the closet, and there's a note taped on the mirror. It reads, Hey Raya. I'm sorry you had to deal with mine and Abby's drunk asses all night. So thank you for being pleasant and allowing me to stay the night.' - Ezra Miller, building Franklin and room C15.
That building is known for the big frat parties that she hears from Abby; she thinks it was so sweet of him after reading. I quickly adjust my hair then head off to the restroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. When I come back to the room, I change my clothes, which are as simple as an army green t-shirt over a denim jumpshort with my usual white sneakers.
Moments later, I'm ready to go with my packed bag and begin sprinting out of the building to get to her car. Before writing class starts, which starts at nine, and it's seven-thirty. I get to it, sit down before starting the vehicle, but my phone keeps buzzing with messages, so I grabs it to see two unread messages; from my stepmother Angela to wish her good luck at school, like she's going to kindergarten.
I sign but smile because I love them and am happy that my dad found Angela. Anyway, I look at the new message and surprisingly it is from Ezra again, 'Hello. I just wanted to tell you to thank you once again and that I'm sorry for the way I acted last night.' Last night was brutal, especially for my, because Ezra was trying to break things like a lamp from the lack of sleep.
