Maddi was holding onto Peter as he lowered himself into an abandoned building. Looking around, the twins noticed a computer monitor that had the Avengers Tower on it and another screen with the blueprints of Tony Stark's plane. Maddi spots Vulture's wings and taps Peter on the shoulder.
"Peter." She whispered. Peter turns around and sees the wings. The twins see an open entrance where light was coming through and Peter wraps his arm around Maddi's torso before using his web shooters to bring them down to the ground. They walk through the entrance and see Liz's dad, Adrian standing at a table working on something.
"Hey! Surprised?" Peter shouted.
"Oh, hey. Pete. I didn't hear you come in." Adrian says. He looks at Maddi. "And you must be his sister, Maddison."
"It's Maddi." Maddi says.
"It's over. We've got you." Peter says.
"You know, I gotta tell you, Pete, I really, really admire your grit." Adrian says. "I see why Liz likes you. I do. When you first came to the house. I wasn't sure. I thought "Really?" but I get it now."
"How could you do this to her?" Peter asks.
"Liz is our friend." Maddi says.
"To her? I'm not doing anything to her, Pete. I'm doing this for her." Adrian says.
"Huh...yeah." Peter says. He shoots his web to stick Adrain's hand to his desk.
Adrian sighs. "Peter, Maddi. You two are young. You don't understand how the world works."
"Yeah, but we understand that selling weapons to criminals is wrong." Maddi says.
"How do you think your buddy Stark paid for that tower? Or any of his little toys?" Adrian asks. "Those people up there, Maddi, the rich and the powerful, they do whatever they want. Guys like us, like you and me, Pete, they don't care about us. We build their roads and we fight all their wars and everything, but they don't care about us. We have to pick up after 'em. We have to eat their table scraps. That's how it is. I know you know what I'm talking about here, Peter."
"Why are you telling us this?" Peter asks.
"Because I want you both to understand. And...I need a little time to get her airborne." Adrian says. In his free hand, Adrian holds up what looks like to be a remote and his wings come flying through. Peter grabs Maddi and he shoots a web to move them out of the way. Peter pushes Maddi out of the way when the wings come flying toward them and he continues to dodge the wings.
"I'm sorry, Peter." Adrian says. Keeping her head down, Maddi tries to crawl away but Adrian sees her and grabs her arm.
"What are you talking about? That thing hasn't touched me yet." Peter says.
"True. Then again...wasn't really trying to." Adrian says. Maddi looks up and notices that the wings were cutting down the pillars in the building.
"Peter!" Maddi shouts just as part of the building collapses on top of Peter. She tries to run to him but Adrian pulls her back.
