chapter 1

Tara carpenter, she lived what was considered to be a normal girl life, she was popular, pretty, sweet and a cheerleader, Her boyfriend is the football team's quarterback and son of the Sheriff, Wes hicks.

They had some arguments but they only broke up once and eventually got back together, so you could say they had a stable relationship.

As well as that Tara had an amazing friend group.

There was Liv Mckenzie, an artsy girl with fuchsia coloured hair.

Chad Meeks, he's on the football team and he is the best friend of wes and the boyfriend of liv, he's very kind and loyal too.

Mindy Meeks, Chad's twin sister, she's a lesbian and loves horror movies more than anything, she's funny and very smart.

Her friend group is great and she couldn't ask for anything else.

Tara and Wes sat down next to their group with Wes's arm wrapped around her shoulder.

"Hey lovebirds! What's up have you two been up to anything lately?" Liv smiled

"Well um..." Tara stuttered, her and wes had recently had sex which, she's gonna be honest wasn't that good, he didn't even manage to make her feel good but she just kept quiet about it.

"Oh no fucking way!" Chad laughed with his eyes wide in shock

Wes grinned and nodded

"You two actually had sex?"

"Yup"

"How was it?"

"I liked it, what about you Tara?"

Tara snapped back out of her trance and nodded.

"Yeah it was great"

She was zoned out because she noticed something, there was a girl with raven hair sat alone in the distance, she was on her own and she was incredibly beautiful.

She knows her, her name is Amber freeman and everyone considers her the quiet kid of the class, Tara has seen Wes and a few others from the football team picking on her when they see her.

Tara feels bad for the girl, she's so pretty and sound, and she gets picked on for no reason.

She's seen people calling her names;

"Freak"

"School shooter"

"Weirdo"

And she hates seeing her boyfriend pick on her, she knows she can't do anything and it hurts her.

She'd say the girl was about 5'7 which is the same height as Wes, and she's also a loner too, Tara found her interesting and wanted to talk to her, but if Wes saw her hanging around with the "freak" He wouldn't be happy.

Later on in class there was a project where the teacher was sorting everyone into partners, Amber was in her class, she just kind of sits alone at the back of the class with no one next to her.

After sorting others into partners, the teacher stopped at tara

"Tara carpenter with- let me see...Amber freeman"

Tara's breath hitched and she felt butterflies in her stomach, she actually got the chance to talk to her.

Tara moved over to Amber and sat next to her.

She wanted to make a good first impression, since Amber probably thought she was bitchy and rude like most popular girls, especially since she saw her with Wes.

"Hey! We haven't really talked, I'm Tara"
She smiles

"i know"

That was the first thing she's ever heard her say, her voice is so attractive, it's quiet and gentle, but it sounds smoky too.

"Oh, alright, well um, let's get started on the project should we?"

Amber just slightly nods and starts the work.

Oh boy, so much for first impressions.
