chapter 3

The next time Amber and Tara met eachother was when Amber was listening to music and wandering around on her own and Tara walked in front of her.

Amber stopped in her tracks and took her earphones out.

"what"

Tara smiles and laughs "well that's no way to greet someone!"

Amber just stares back with a blank expression as tara clears her throat.

"Oh, i see you're still upset about that."

"I'm not upset. I'm just minding my business" amber quietly says

"Right, sorry."

"Anyways Amber! I was thinking me and you could go to the cinema to watch that new stab movie, if you're interested in that kind of stuff"

Ambers lips slightly curve into a smile

"I am"

Tara smiles back
"So is that a yes?"

"Sure, what day"

"Friday after school"

"Alright" Amber puts her earphones back in and continues waking

Tara couldn't wait for tomorrow and went home to chill.

Later on tara went to meet Amber at the cinema, they went in after getting their food and drinks and sat down.

About halfway through the movie Tara decided to take a risk without even knowing why.

She puts her hand on Amber's thigh as a way of comforting her? Tara had no idea what she was doing or why she did it and immediately regretted it.

Without taking her eyes off the screen Amber grabbed Tara's hand and moved it back over to Tara.

Tara immediately regretted it thinking that amber only wanted to be friends.

After the movie finished and they left Amber turned to Tara and made direct eye contact with her.

"So what was that about" amber says, and tara knows exactly what she's talking about.

"Well,, i really like you, I know this is like, incredibly fast since we only met the other day, but I've seen you around before and i like you"

She reaches to put her hand over Amber's arm, caressing her bicep, but Amber moves her arm away after staring for a few seconds

"No tara, you're with wes I'm not gonna agree with cheating"

Tara shakes her head

"But i don't like him! He's so rude to everyone and he's a terrible boyfriend"

Amber looks almost guilty

"Maybe try breaking up with him?"

"i want to, i think i will"

"Right, well I'm gonna go home now, thanks for tonight"

Tara smiles and nods
"Anytime"

Eventually, tara decided to break up with wes, but she was scared in case anything happened so she asked mindy to come with her and she agreed.

Wes was just leaving the locker rooms since the other footballers all left.

"Oh! Hey tara you got my message, you ready to go?"

Mindy was stood in the background watching as tara awkwardly looked at him.

"Yeah, about that...I'm here for something else"

Wes looked in confusion as she breathed in and then exhaled.

"I'm breaking up with you"

"What?! What do you mean you're breaking up with me?"

Tara noticed mindy slightly moving forward in case he tried anything.

"I'm sorry wes, i know this is crazy but i don't feel the same way about you, i don't think we're compatible and I'm also sick of you bullying everyone!"

He stepped towards her and started yelling

"What do you mean! We're the star couple of the school, we've been together for months what do you mean you're fucking breaking up with me?!"

Mindy walked over to him and went in front of tara.

"Back up dude she said she's breaking up with you just accept it"

"Fuck off mindy why are you even here?"

"I'm here for moral support because she knew you would act like a total douche, which you are clearly"

"We're leaving now come on tara" mindy gently put her hand on her shoulder and started walking.

"Hey! Tara come back we're not finished! You love me!"

Tara turned around and started yelling

"No i don't! You're an asshole, a shitty boyfriend, and your dick is fucking tiny!"

Mindy patted tara on the shoulder and They both went to mindy's car.

Once they were in mindy's car mindy just started laughing

"What's so funny?"

"IM SORRY ITS THE WAY YOU HUMILIATED HIM ITS FUNNY"

Tara smiled and laughed

"Thank you."

After they got out of the car they went to liv's house to watch a movie and Tara felt happy knowing she got out of a toxic relationship.
