The next day dawned. Algería, Valt and Honcho sat together in the dining room and while Algería and Honcho ate, Valt just sat and stared at Valtryek. "You're starting to scare me" Valt loved to eat but this morning Valtryek seemed more interesting. Honcho broke off a piece of his churros and threw it at Valt, who opened his mouth and caught it. Didn't seem to bother him. "Watch out, there's a zombie behind you and it's hungry for brains." The blue haired looked up. "For real?" "You believed that? Can you at least put your bey aside while you eat?" "But I can't get yesterday's battle out of my head...I won but what do I do now? I can't always do the same move...I need new moves and maybe a new style" "Think about that as you practice. If you think too hard now, your brain will explode again." Valt made a face. "It used to be like that" "You mean a few months ago" "Aren't you hungry?" Ange had come to their table. "Algí and I are eating, Ange. Unlike one other person." "I wonder who that might be." Valt grabbed a churro and took a bite.
The door to the dining room opened and Kit and Honey walked in. "There they are" The two came to the table. "You're late kids" "Sorry" Kit turned the tablet he was holding towards the three bladers. "Look at that! That's the world rankings for all the clubs. BC Sol has gone up quite a bit thanks to your battle yesterday" "That's great" "Tell them the rest" "Right" Kit fiddled with the tablet, before turning it over again. "What's this?" "Blader Rankings" "Hey there I am" "And there I am" Algería, Valt and Honcho appeared on the screen. Their rankings had gone up. "Isn't that great? Our victory goes viral!" "If we keep going like this, we'll soon be world champions" Valt and Honcho were in good spirits. Algería sat next to him with a smile. "Oh...I wanted to ask you one more thing...Do you know this guy? There's a newcomer from Japan who made a name for himself through the Raging Bulls." Kit showed them the tablet again with a photo of a boy on it with white hair and red eyes. "That's Shu" "Sure, do we know him" "Really? Tell us about him!"
They left the dining room and went into the yard. "I don't even know where to start...Shu is a super good friend and an even better blader" "So he's sort of a friend and a rival" "Yup, you can call it that" "Wow!" "By the way, that reminds me, I wrote to him a few days ago and still haven't gotten a message back...Would you be more successful?" "No..." "I haven't heard from him either" "Are you saying that you don't have any contact with him anymore?" "I guess he's pretty busy with his training. Shu put a lot of effort into his training back home in Japan and he's been training harder than us. Still, I'd like to know how he's doing... That alone is enough for me not" Valt pressed the screen and they were shown more stats about Shu. "Amazing" "He's really cool" "I can't believe you guys know him" "Back in Japan he's known as one of the Supreme Four" "Who are they?" "A group of rivals made up of our strongest bladers" "Everyone knows them and everyone wants to beat them" "There's nothing like fighting him! I miss Shu" "And what about the other three? Did they go international too" "Let me see" Valt took the tablet from Kit and searched for something. Honcho and Algería looked at the screen. "There!" "Wow, is that Xander?" "You know him too?" "Yeah, I grew up with him" "Looks like he's in a club in America now" "That's so freaky!" "All the people from home are now making their mark in the world league" "And this...This is Algí's best friend" Valt was about to key in the other blue-haired boy's name when Algería stopped him. "Leave it alone Valt" "But why?" With Valt already typing most of the name, Kit hit 'search' and the result was Lui Shirosagi's stats. "That's your best friend?! That's Lui Shirosagi?! He's second in the world rankings?!" "But he is, and that's why Free doesn't like Algí that much either." "Well, he and Lui have had a long rivalry...they are after all" "Hey, that's enough" They looked at the redhead. "Really not everyone needs to know that I have something to do with Lui, so don't say a single word about it" "Okay" "I promise" "Anyway! We mustn't fall after the others!" "Right, let's train and defeat one opponent after the other" "Are you in Algí?" "Sure" The five friends made their way to the training hall, on the way there Valt suddenly stopped. "Wait a minute" The others stopped. "FREE!!!" The blonde stopped and turned around. Valt ran towards his captain. "I wanted to say thank you." He stopped in front of the other. "Okay...but for what?" "For believing in me and sending me to the last round yesterday" "So you enjoyed winning?" "Totally" Valt smiled. "That's the most important thing" Free smiled and left. "He's starting to like me" Valt grinned at his friends. "How did you get it?" "We understand each other better and better" "If you say so..."
