Preparations for the Bladers Cup were in full swing. They hardly had time to train, since their flight to America left two days later. It went to Moab, a small town in Utah. It was really nice there. "I don't even know what the coolest thing is here" "For me it's definitely the Grand Arena where the battles will take place" "We have to take a bus to get to the hotel but first let's eat something. Because only a well-fed team , is a happy team" "YES! FOOD!" "You can eat as much as you want. We just have to stay together." "So you little folks. Stay with me. Wait a minute..." Valt and Kit had already left. "Of course." "Looking for them will probably take a while" Kris sighed a little. "All right. Maybe we'll find them on the way." The group went to get some food. Algería ran with Honcho and Silas. Burgers, pizza, ice cream, there was just everything. They tried everything and while Honcho decided to get a third burger, Algería had gotten a cotton candy. While waiting for Honcho and Silas, she spotted Free strolling the streets. There was still a long line at the burger shop, so she walked towards him. "Hey" He looked at her and smiled slightly. "It's really nice here, don't you think?" Algería pulled down some of the cotton candy and put it in her mouth. While chewing, she held out the sweet snack to Free. "Do you want some?" "I don't like sweets" "Really? Don't even try?" Black met blue. Free sighed, pulled some of the cotton candy off and put it in his mouth. Algería smiled. "It doesn't taste that bad, right?" "This stuff is too sweet" Free licked his fingers, which were a little sticky. "So something less sweet." The girl looked around. "How about this. Hold on." She gave Free the cotton candy and ran into a store to buy two donuts. "Here"

She held out one of the two to him. "What am I supposed to do with that?" The redhead laughed. "Eat of course or do you just want to watch it until it grows moldy?" "Didn't you buy it for yourself?" "There's a second one in the bag, so grab it before I go and give it to the Honcho." Free looked at her, he could tell from her look that she was serious. The blonde took the donut from her and Algería took her cotton candy again. She continued to eat while Free looked at the round thing in his hand. "Chocolate, it's my favorite flavour. You'll love it, I know that." Free took a bite and sure enough, it tasted good. As he took another bite, Algería smiled. They walked around a bit before going back to the group and getting on the bus. The bus was almost full, Algería guessed that Valt would be sitting next to Honcho and Kit next to Honey. So she sat down in the last empty double seat, behind Honcho. He first wanted to ask her where she was, but when Free sat down next to her, Honcho remained silent. It seemed like he was starting to figure out what was going on between them. The blonde's yawn caught the redhead's attention. "Are you tired? Even though today is still really busy?" "I trained half the night" "You're a great blader, Free. Even someone like you needs a good dose of sleep" "I don't have time to rest" "Yes you do. Just sleep until we get to the hotel. You sleep everywhere so make the most of it" Free crossed his arms and closed his eyes.

Shortly before getting off, Valt and Kit arrived at the bus and they headed towards the Grand Arena. Everyone was busy with themselves. Algería perused entries from past tournaments that had taken place at the Grand Arena as the scenery rolled past the window. She was quite engrossed, because when she suddenly felt something on her shoulder, she got a fright. Looking to the side, she noticed Free lying halfway on top of her, asleep. Smiling, she ran her fingers through his blond hair and continued reading the articles. When they arrived, Algería nudged the boy's cheek. "Free. Wake up. We're here." The blond grumbled a little before he slowly opened his eyes and sat up. He stretched once before standing up and getting off the bus. Once outside, they brought their luggage to the accommodation. Kris told her four bladers that the opening is at 12 sharp and that they shouldn't be late. Since it was just after 11 a.m., they still had time to train a little. At least that was the plan.

While the others trained, Algería and Honcho waited for Valt, who seemed to be late again. "I said 5 minutes and not 50!" "You don't really expect him to be on time" "I'll get him then." Honcho got up and walked towards the door that led back into the quarters. Algería shook her head and followed him. Just as they entered the hallway, Valt ran out of their room, but in the wrong direction. "Bro, you can't be serious." Kit also came out of the room but Valt was already gone. "Look, look" Kit spotted the other two. "What's Valt up to?" "Er...Well...Well..." "Let me guess, he did something stupid again?" "What? No." Algería raised an eyebrow. "Yeah...we met a guy in town earlier named Kurt Baratier. He used to be the best blader in the world and well...Valt wants to challenge him" "Kurt Baratier?" "Do you know him?" "He was the most powerful blader of his time and was number one for years without ever losing in a battle. But one day he suddenly disappeared and nobody knew where or why. If it's really him, then Valt doesn't really have a chance against him. Kit, show us where you met him."
