TODAY I decided to go to school with my usual time. Inaantok pa ako pero kailangan ko nang mag-ayos ng mga dadalhin ko later sa P.E namin. Syempre, dahil apat kaming swimmers sa room ang p.e namin later ay about sa swimming kaya naman magdadala ako ng swimsuit na conservative style dahil bawal naman 'yong liberated.
After putting my things in the bag, I went down to dining area for my breakfast and since my parents aren't here, solo ko lang ang bahay. I have time to have my breakfast in peace.
"Good morning, drama queen of the year!"
Nabitawan ko ang baso dahil sa sigaw ni Adyllena.
"My God! Adyllena Benys! What the heck are you doing here?" Gulantang kong sigaw.
Humalakhak naman ang dearest cousin ko and she settled herself infront of me.
"Nice, who cooked these?" Ady chuckled.
"One and only!" I proudly said at sabay kaming humalakhak because the ham was just half cooked and the eggs were almost burnt.
"I wonder what Sean would say about these?" She teased me.
"Will you please stop bringing him up like we're in a relationship because we're not!"
"Oh, So you guys aren't together yet, huh?"
Sabay naman kaming napalingon sa entrance when we heard Zevi.
"Yeah! we're not!" I pouted.
"Tss make a move!" She shrugged and took a plate to eat.
"Seriously, I'm sorry about yesterday. I know you wouldn't like it yet I still did it but it was because you two should have dropped the awkwardness."
"What awkwardness are you talking about, Florene?" Takang tanong niya habang si Ady naman ay natatawa.
"They way you guys talk to each other there is awkwardness. If you don't like each other then be at least civil. It is actually annoying to see you guys having awkward moment when you caught him looking at you or even just having a conversation." Dire-diretsong litanya ko at napakuno noo ako nang humagalpak sila nang tawa.
"You're exaggerating things!" Adyllena once again laughed her heart out while Zelestine, this is my first time seeing her almost teary eyed while laughing so hard.
"Psh! What do you mean?" Inis na tanong ko.
Zevi tried to hold her laughter as well as Ady but they failed! They laughed like I've told them a very funny joke of this lifetime! Psh.
"Settle down!" Asik ko.
Nag inhale and exhale pa sila bago tuluyang maging matino.
"Ady's right.." She chuckled. "You're exaggerating things in your head, Florene. I've never felt awkward whenever he talks to me nor when I caught him staring at me. It's no big deal. He's not someone I can be swayed by. That's very childish." She smiled.
A sudden feeling of happiness sips through my heart like I just heard a good news that made my day already!
"But seriously, do you not remember him?"
"Yes, I don't."
"But how? He was the cute boy who gave you chocolates every friday and monday. The boy who promised you forever at a very very young age." I stated.
She laughed again but there was something in her laughter.
"That was what? A very very long time ago. A lot of things happened when I'm growing up in Italy. My family was in a very difficult situation back then, Kuya Zion had to live away from us, so how can I still remember such moments in my childhood?" She said that made me somehow convinced that whatever happened in Italy made her forget the little things that happened to her here.
