Chris was fine and released at like 1am.

She was out of it when we got to Daniel's to pick Mel up and a shit storm unleashed when I went to get Mel.

I went into the house and saw Daniel, his mom, and her hell spawn all there. Her hell spawn grandkids from her daughter were playing with Mel, who should have been in bed.

"Oh, you. So pathetic that you went back to your abuser and denied my son a relationship." His mom says and I roll my eyes.

"Not in the mood. I'm here for Mel." I say and Dan scoffs.

"No. You basically abused her by not giving her privacy. Here she has her own room, unlike at Chad's and doesn't have to share her damn toys. I'm suing for full custody and maybe your other kids will also get taken." Dan says and I glare at him before wiping away tears.

"You know what Daniel?! This is why you're still fucking single! You like to belittle women for their choices in their lives! This is why Felix took the kids and left you! You tried to isolate her from her family. No, Melody doesn't have her own room in our home, but that's because Chris can't be alone due to her mental state and the fact that someone has to alert us if she has a seizure in the middle of the goddamned night. And she for full custody, since you didn't listen during the court hearing, I get full custody of you keep her over the two weeks or try to keep her on my two weeks, which is now! Yes I went back to Chad, but only because he truly felt remorse for what he did and is taking the steps to better himself. He feels guilty for what he did and almost done every goddamned day, Daniel! Like what more could you possibly want him to do?!"  I yell as I grab Melody and walk to the door and he grabs me by the arm.

"Do not fucking yell at me bitch! I have had it with your attitude towards me! You will not treat me like that and I will have you! He will not." Daniel says and I shove him off as I rush to the car with Melody, who is now in tears as she witnessed what Dan did to me.

In the car, Chad sees the now forming bruises on my arms and I see rage in his eyes as he holds me before driving home.

At home I tell Chad what Dan did and he holds me close. I feel him breathing hard and look at him with concerned eyes.

"Don't lose your progress baby. He isn't worth it.

Chad's POV

The minute I saw how fast Justine and Melody rushed into the car, I knew shit went down in Daniel's house, but I didn't expect to see bruising fingerprints on her arm.

In that moment, I wanted to beat the fuck out of Daniel, but for my wife and children's sakes I went home.

I was holding back so much anger when she told me what Daniel said and almost went over there. Then Justine told me to not lose my progress over Daniel and that he wasn't worth it.

I help her out the kids to bed and we go to our separate rooms to sleep and she intitates a small chaste kiss before bed.

I decide that she's right.
