Leo POV-
My fingertips were tapping the wood table, my heart was beating uncontrollable. I really disliked presentations because there was a really big chance of me making a fool of myself.
I looked around the classroom, trying to calm my nerves. My eyes met Aces and he smiled reassuringly at me. I wish it wasn't the case, but it made me calm down immediately.
''Next group please'' Mr Russel called unamused. I was still sitting down not realising it was my turn. Ace had got up and looked straight at me.
''Leon it's us now'' I snapped out of my thoughts and got up. I could feel Mr Russel's eyes on me as I walked up to the front of the class. My hands started shaking, and I could feel myself getting more and more nervous.
''Don't worry Leon, you're going to do great'' Ace whispered with a smile. He was right I shouldn't worry. This was going to go just fine, right?
Ace started out the presentation really good, the things he talked about seemed so natural. His raspy calm voice was beautiful.
When Ace stopped talking, I knew it was my turn. I looked out at the class trying not to make eye contact with anyone. As long as I didn't look down, I was fine, so I ended up just looking at the wall the whole time.
I felt so relieved when we were done with the presentation. It had gone well, and I didn't make any mistakes. Ace walked back to our table, and I followed him.
I quickly looked over at Mr Russel who was sitting with his arms crossed and looked a little... almost mad.
''That was, fine'' he said as he made sign for the next group to get up and present their presentation. I sat down beside Ace.
I didn't want to take out my paper and draw since I was afraid Mr Russel would throw it away in front of the whole class again. So, I just sat in my chair and fidgeted a bit with my fingers waiting for the class to end.
Claire POV-
Alex and I were on our way to the history class. We had gotten our things from our lockers and were walking through the busy halls, side by side.
As we entered the classroom, Miss Evans gave us a big smile and welcomed us in.
She was such a hot- I mean nice teacher.
I put my bag on an empty chair and proceeded to sit down beside Alex. We were waiting for a bit, getting ready for class to start.
''Today, we will be starting on a new project. You'll have to pair up with someone in the class, and work on this assignment. I suggest you choose now, so we can start right away'' As people slowly started to pair up, I noticed Miss Evans looking over at me with a little smirk. She nodded her head over at Alex.
''Wanna work together?'' I asked as I turned to face Alex.
''Sure'' She replied with a shrug after studying me for a couple for seconds.
I smiled and turned back, where I saw Miss Evans nodding at me with a big smile on her face. I chuckled a bit and shook my head amused.
I sure had a great teacher.
When everyone was paired up, Miss Evans then proceeded to introduce the project. I felt Alexs eyes on me for a while, so I turned to check, and she indeed was. When our eyes met, she didn't break the stare as I had thought she would. She gave me a little smirk and I smiled softly back at her.
"Will the two lovebirds in the back do me a favour and concentrate" Our smiling session was interrupted, and we both quickly nodded.
I glared at Miss Evans and received a shrug plus a teasing smirk.
