Hero no more

Wade went into the city looking for peter, he went to aunt May's first.
"Hello Wade, what a surprise to see you so early in the day."

"Is peter here?"

"No, why would he be?"

"He didn't come home last night."

"Oh my, did you have a fight?"

"Yeah. It was my fault too, and he won't answer his phone."

"Let me see if I can reach him." She calls him but it rang until it went to voicemail.

"Fuck, what if he's hurt?"

"Calm down, I'm sure he's fine. He might be hiding in the garage."

"Why would he hide there?"

"His uncle would yell at him about little things and Peter would pretend to run away and go hide in the garage. He would stay there all day sometimes, until he got really hungry." She giggles at the memory.

Wade runs out to the back and opens the garage door, it was dark and didn't look like anyone had been inside.
"Peter, come out please. You can have all the bacon you want."
He looked around the boxes, under the car and inside it.
"Peter, I'm sorry. Please let me see you."

He wasn't there, where else could he be?
Wade searched the city, he wouldn't stop until he found peter.
He went to his college, looked in every classroom, every bathroom, locker room, everywhere. No peter.
He walks down the hall and spots someone he recognized.
"Hey, you're friends with Peter Parker right?"

"Yeah. Who are you?"

"Oh crap right we haven't actually met. Um I'm Wade, I'm Peter's alpha."

"What? Since when did Peter start dating you?"

"Some odd months ago."

"And he never told me, rude."

"Sorry, but have you seen him?"

"Not today, and he should be here. He's been ignoring my calls too." He frowns, worried for his best friend.

"This isn't good, I have to find him, I'm worried he's hurt or worse." Wade runs off leaving Ned to be confused.

He kept running down the street, he bumps into an old man making him drop his cane.
"Watch it kid." He said softly.

"You watch it old man."

"There is no need to be so aggressive."

"I'll be whatever I have to be to find my omega." He huffs and stomps off, but the old man spoke up, making him stop.
"You have lost your omega, why is that?"

"Because I yelled at him."

"In your voice?"

"Yes." He hangs his head in shame.

"You should never use your voice in such a way." He scolds.

"I regret doing it, but he ran away and I can't find him."

"Take a deep breath and focus on your omega, the bond you have is a strong one. Let your mark guide you to find him."
Wade huffs with irritation but listened and closed his eyes and he thought about peter.
He could see the house in his minds eye, his mind and heart told him to go home.
"I know where he is."

"Be gentle with him, omega are very fragile, you can't use your voice to intimidate them. Especially since he is your mate, the bond can break if too much negativity weighs him down."
Wade let's the words process, he understands the old man and nods a thank you before running back home.

When he got home the living room was dark, so was the kitchen, and bedroom.
He didn't find peter anywhere.
"Peter, where are you?" He flops on the couch, tears start to fall down his face.
Then a lightbulb went off in his head and he runs to the garage.
"Peter. Are you in here?" He heard shuffling in the corner. Quietly he walks over and moves the boxes from the corner, where he found peter curled up in a ball under a blanket.

"Baby boy, I'm sorry for yelling at you."
He shakes with fear, not knowing what the alpha will do.
"I'm not going to hurt you, come here." Peter pushed himself further into the wall.
Wade sighs and walks out, he went to get food and more blankets.
"If it makes you feel safe out here fine, but you need food and warmth."
Peter doesn't look at him, he looked like a feral cat who was wounded, yet stubborn to take a helping hand.

"I'll be inside if you need anything. I'm really sorry, I promise I'll never raise my voice to you again. Please don't shut me out, I don't know what I'll do without you." After his plea he went back into the house, staying in the couch, the bed was meant for both of them, he didn't feel comfortable sleeping in bed without peter.

A few days pass, peter stayed in the garage the whole time, he only went inside when he knew Wade was gone, he took a shower then went back out to his hole.
Wade didn't get much sleep, feeling like a bag of shit didn't really help in sleeping.

"Peter, will you please come out, you've been out here for a week now, you haven't been to school, your friends and teachers are worried about you."

"I've made up my mind." He spoke softly.

"What is it?"

"Stop being Deadpool."

"What?"

"Get a normal, morally good job. Stop being Deadpool, I'll also stop being Spider-Man."

"Peter you can't mean that. People look up to you, you give them hope."

"Agree to it, or I'll never come out."

"Peter that's a little unfair."

"Im tired of you killing people." He raised his voice. "I've had enough of it. I love you wade, but it has to stop, please stop killing." He was crying at this point and wade was hesitant to go near him.

"Okay. Deadpool will hang up his suit, if that means that I can come and hold you and keep you by my side, I won't be Deadpool anymore." His voice was so soft, it almost sounded like a different person.
Peter looks up at him and opens his arms, the alpha falls into him and cuddles him tightly.
"I love you Peter, so so much. I can't stand a day without you near me, please don't run away again."

"I love you too, I promise I'll stay by your side."

"Good, now let's go inside."
Peter called aunt May and Ned, letting them know he was okay.
He got an ear full from aunt May, and Ned also laid into him for not telling him about wade.
Peter was very apologetic to everyone who worried, and he knew he had a mountain of homework that he would have to do to make up for the week he missed.

The Deadpool and Spider-Man suits were put away in a box in the basement, and Wade got a job at sister Margaret's until he found a better one.
Peter continued at school and also found a part time job working for the daily bugle.
No more being hero's, or hired killers, this was the start of a new and normal life.

Or so they think.
