Close to 290 million years ago in absolute time, the first "advanced" humanoids were harvesting the fruits from eons of technological progress, their latest invention - a station equipped with Warp Drives also capable of creating wormholes to connect with other similar stations - was a revolutionary innovation which allowed them to explore and colonize planets and civilizations further than they could have ever imagined; as the first alliances of cybernetic humanoids formed, more and more civilizations joined their ranks, this meant more resources for their factories, slaves for their mines, and planets for their empire.
The humanoids were relentless in their pursuit of greater sources of energy and knowledge, putting at risk all possible life forms across the universe; every intelligent living creature became a possible slave, their planets with an abundance of water and other precious resources became a target, and any dreams of prosperous lives in peace among other members of their civilization became fantasies.
For millions of years this group of humanoids destroyed all races and species they couldn't understand, those who represented too big of a threat were left alone.
Humanoids implemented a way to classify power (energy) sources both at an individual level as well as at a universal level. They manage to draw a complete map of the universe based on this system. Eventually, they discovered how to use their new navigation method to approach the most ancient civilization they had ever encountered, which had been avoided given the risk of annihilation that such a massive source of energy represented.
No one knows how the humanoids acquire the knowledge to navigate to their galaxy - located in the very center of the universe - since it had different levels of protection which made it almost impossible to find and even more so to access. But not all humanoids decided to join this "cause" of expansion, many of them were satisfied with what they had and kept developing themselves in a more "organic way", altering and replicating their DNA to adapt to different extreme environments and conditions; being able to fight greater enemies, travel longer distances and even postpone the imminent death their humanoid consistency guarantees.
