April quickly flew back down, feeling disappointed. She didn't fit in up there. Everyone was nice and innocent, they didn't ruin people's lives like she had done. When her feet touched the ground, she saw Brianna waiting for her.
"So? Did you manage to go through the barrier?" she asked impatiently.
"Yeah... I did," April mumbled.
"You foolish idiot," Brianna exclaimed. April looked up confused, but at that moment she felt something wrapping around her body. She saw Brianna's evil grin, before she lost her balance and fell to the ground. Heavy metal chains magically grew around her arms and legs, and April couldn't move. She didn't understand.
"You could have stayed up there and be happy, but now you got yourself in some biiiig trouble," Brianna said.
"What are you going to do?" April asked struggling to move.
"I'm going to use you to take over Heaven!" Brianna exclaimed.
"You don't want to be down here in Hell?" April asked.
"No, that's not it. I just want revenge from my sister, Arianna," Brianna said her name with disgust.
"Wait, but she's an angel, then how are you a demon?" April asked.
"Well, I used to be an angel too," Brianna said shrugging.
"Then- then why did you become a demon but now you want to go back again?" April asked more confused than ever.
"My sister Arianna became the Queen, you see. I could have been ruling Heaven, but me and Arianna were twins. So the people had to vote. And they voted Arianna. They said she was 'kinder' and 'wiser,'" Brianna concluded with jealousy in her voice.
"So I came here and now I can finally pull off my plan! And if I do, the prince promised that he will make me the queen of Hell. I suppose that's good enough as well," she concluded.
"But how can I help you anyway?" April asked again.
"Oh, my dear. You will find out soon." Brianna said wickedly.
April looked up at Brianna. She didn't try to break out of the chains, didn't try to escape. She honestly didn't care what was going to happen to her anymore.
April passed out, and when she woke up she was inside some sort of lab. She was still very dizzy, and it took her some time to realise that there was a person in the room.
"Huh... Who...?" April mumbled. She tried to move, but she was strapped on a table. The person heard her and turned around.
"Well hello, precious," he said. April observed him. He had green puffy hair, and funny looking ears. He was also wearing lab goggles on his head, and a lab coat. The guy noticed April looking at his ears.
"These? They're from some weird mutation caused from my experiments," he said, "Who knows what kind of thing will happen to you?" he added mysteriously.
"What are you going to do?" April asked.
"Oh, don't worry, it won't hurt a lot. Actually it is but who cares!" the guy said laughing and walked out of the room.
'He's probably gone crazy,' April thought.
"Yes, indeed! I'm a mad scientist," he said smiling and appearing behind April. She jumped scared. "Very mad," he whispered in her ear and a shiver ran down her spine. And then, like nothing happened, he started whistling and picking things from drawers.
"How can you read my mind?" April asked.
"Oh, anyone can do that if they practice enough," he said and continued doing his thing.
