MY TAKE: Rihanna definitely had fun on this album, and it helped her grow as an artist. This definitely isn't her best album, but I will say it is one of more iconic albums. She had a lot of radio play bops that came from this album, and it gave her a lot of traction as a basic woman in the pop genre of music. She exposes her playful like sensuality on this album, and is still trying to establish herself beyond what the media had portrayed, especially with the booming encounters she had publicly during this era.

BEST SONG—  what's my name, featuring drake.

This song is so top tier, and gave R&B an electronic type sound. Rihanna is able to blend that new sound on top of what she already presented to the world, with the pop and reggae. It was presented so well in the sign, and Drake made it a thousand times better. The lyrics, the video... everything about this song shows why it blew the way it did and why it's a staple of the 2010s music.

MOST UNDERRATED SONG— Raining Men, featuring Nicki Minaj.

this song matches the whole vibe one would get from this album. it should've been pushed out on the radios more, and blown like S&M. The chemistry with Nicki and Ri was strongly shown in this collab, and it mended out well. Perfect party rock song!

WORST SONG— love the way you lie, featuring eminem.

this song could've been a single in all honesty, as it takes away from the album's essentiality. But I can see why it was on the album, in hopes for popular traction for this album as their first collaboration BLEW up.

RATING IS...
