"Siigghhh"

A loud sigh can be heard and followed by a few chuckles. A man that seems to be in his 30 can only shake his head. He already plans to continue reading a novel he bought but unfortunately, his teammates had just barged into his apartment when he was just done reading volume 5 novel the birth of a hero.

"Cheer up team leader-nim!"

"That's right! We got 3 days of a day off and the only thing you did is stay inside your apartment!"

"You need to go out and take a fresh air team leader-nim! Tomorrow we need to get back to work!"

He glances at his teammates with his usually stoic face before focusing on the road back while his teammates pout and just follow him go inside the coffee shop. He can't live without coffee in the morning. Especially not when his day off got disturbed.

"Where are you planning to go?"

The sudden questions from their team leader make them beam with happiness.
One of them who is a girl called Kim Minah happily states their plan for the whole day followed by the others.

All of them look like a child that can't wait to go on an adventure with their team leader as their tired dad.

And that makes him regret asking. However, it's not like he hates it. He loves it. The happiness he feels to going out and spending time with them. The reason why he always has that stoic face is that he never broke down the wall that he built when he was a child. An orphan with an abusive uncle, he already turns off the emotion when he stops hoping someone would save him. The scar all over his body, it's disgusting to look at. Yet, the scar he got from fighting a monster is much better that scar he got from his uncle.

However, when 2 special people came into his life, he regret the fact that he never admit how both of them have a special place in his heart as his Hyung. Now that they're dead, the wall just keeps getting sturdy as he doesn't want to let down his guard and let people come in anymore. He should be the one that died back then.

But now, all he can do is stay alive since that's what they want, and silently enjoy his teammates' company while ignoring all the people that talk shit about him behind his back.

When they just got out of the coffee shop, something just had to ruin their day.

"Seriously?! We just started the day and that bastard decided to ruin it!!!"

There's an attack by a grade 2 monster nearby and they had no choice but to cancel their plan. They need to evacuate the people until the other ability users from the guild arrive.

The reinforcement takes time to arrive but fortunately, they manage to save other people and lead them toward the shelter calmly because this is not the first time something like this happens.

Kim Minah and the rest fight the monster with their team leader gives instructions and explains the fighting pattern to his team.

However, when Minah was about to slash the monster's neck from behind with her spear, the monster's tail attacks her and make her fly across the building that was not too far from where the team leader standing.

The team leader immediately runs towards her to bring her to the shelter. Luckily she didn't lose consciousness and when they were about to get out, he saw the monster throw a sharp metal at them.

He has no choice but to push Minah aside. All his teammates were shocked and can only shout his name when they see their team leader's body was pierced by metal.

"KIM ROK SOO!!!"

"TEAM LEADER!!!"

As pain engulfed his body, he can hear them screaming and saw some of them running toward him with Kim Minah crying hoping he didn't die.

'ahh... I hate pain... This is painful'

It's all too late. He can feel the pool of his blood form around his body. There's no way he's gonna survive and they know that. At least he manages to go out with them for the last time.

"Living is the best. Remember that"

And he closes his eyes forever with a small smile on his face.

'Hyung, wait for me'

KIM ROKSOO'S POV

Huh?

Where is this?

I can't see anything. Why did I feel like I'm floating?

It's warm and I feel safe. It feels like someone is hugging me and it's comfortable.

There's no pain anymore. But I can't move.

Oh, there's a light.

And voices..?

I can't hear it...

Nevermind. I'm going to close my eyes.

END OF ROKSOO'S POV

"Ma'am! Please stay awake and keep pushing!"

"He's almost out"

A loud groan and screaming can be heard all over the room and a man can't stop walking back and forth in front of the bedroom.

After a few minutes, the sound of the baby can be heard and the man immediately came inside.

He's running toward his wife and kisses her forehead as tears fall down his face. He's grateful when both his wife and son survive.

"Thank you"

And the wife smiled, fatigue on her face and pain all over her body. But once the doctor gives her baby to her, it feels like all the fatigue is gone and all she felt right now is happiness as tears fall out of her eyes. This same feeling when she gives birth to their firstborn.

However, unlike his brother and herself that have lighter shade of red hair, this small baby has a darker shade of red hair and he stops crying once he's in her arm. The baby opens his eyes and she can see those reddish-brown eyes that look confused. She kisses his cheeks while her husband hugs her from beside her.

"Congratulations Count Deruth and Countess Jour. I pray that all of you have good health and life"

They smile at the doctor's words and the count asked the butler to wake up their firstborn child to meet his new brother.

"Cain Henituse... Such a cute baby"

"He looks just like you, honey"

"Cale must be happy that he's not alone now"
