Bondita's POV:-

*sigh*

It's been so long since Baba allowed me to traverse the estate grounds and the forest area. I listened to him, didn't I? I read the Geeta, I studied judiciously for all of the business-related substance as well!
Is poor little Bondita not allowed a break?
Away from this Rapunzel's tower to somewhere magical, where the sky stretches to sweet hues of mellow orange, and lucent lanterns light up the warm canvas, alive with the souls that breathe into it. And a tiny detail to make it all the more lovely, my Anirudh Babu. My Barristra Babu.

I met him 9 years ago, when we were both children of 11 and 13. Being the only daughter of the best lawyer in the country didn't make it easy for me, always in suspicion of those I held dearest. My own nanny tried to murder me as a toddler, and I would've been done for, had it not been for Mishti Maasi's timely help. She is the noble woman who birthed Ani, my love. Their family has been serving us for generations, and they're matriarchal so the duties have passed on to the maternal offsprings, making Ani, my prince, the heir of the Rajwardhans, and I, his princess, heir to the Arora Estate.
Though my lineage is solely carried by first borns.

"Tss...tss"

What a weird sound...is someone here?
Hmm...must be my paranoia manifesting into my auditory senses.

"Tss...Tss"

Again...?
I...I'm scared.
Should I hide or should I get some weapon for defense?

As I kept pondering over my options of fight or flight, two warm hands cupped my cheeks from behind me. The rose scent lingering in the air gave away the intruder's identity.

"Anirudh? What are you–"

"Shh... as much as I love that sweet voice of yours, I need to make this quick– you've been selected for organising this year's party, and you even have the autonomy to decide the theme, Bondita."
He said as his dainty fingers now began caressing my tresses, wrapping his digits around the silken strings of umber.

"Hmm... and how did my Barristra Babu get his hands on this piece of information before I could?"

"I have my sources." He said, passing me a cheeky grin.

"I wonder which noble lady lost her heart to those bewitching eyes of yours..."

"Hey! I didn't, it was a man!"

"Oh... so Anirudh Babu is playing men now, hmm... didn't take you as a player for both the teams."

"I- I, you know I didn't do such a thing. I'm a man of morals." He said, his face burning crimson now as he tried to present more words that might prove his case.
But no. No, no, no.
No one can escape Bondita's web of verbal genius.

"It's okay, Anirudh. I know you, you know. More than any soul that walks this earth."

With that, I drew him into a much-needed embrace, holding him for eternity, into a mutual blissful solitude. His very touch soothed my deepest wounds and so did mine for him.

We loved each other, more than words could ever reflect, and more than actions could ever tell.
Strings of fate had tied us into a messy knot of a relationship, with him working for my father and my father wanting me to marry a man of my status.
It was tough, but those ever-innocent eyes of his made me forget all my woes, consuming me into warm joy and love of life.

He now looked up, and I could see how much everything had been taking a toll on him, and so I let my lips meet his, for the very first time.
There was no fight for dominance, as the sweet friends that our lips were, parted and loved each other in a satisfying repetitive fashion. I couldn't help but let out a rather embarrassing sound as we continued the kiss, something he called 'as sweet as sugar'.

Every moment with him was magic, and every moment made me crave for the next.

"Ami tomake bhalobasi, Anirudh."
