Chapter 3:Heartstrings

Pole and Larry. A couple that had existed for years at Fanfic Public School. A lean addicted ginger barney knockoff and a personified pole that was a top notch student. However the two grew quite distant overtime in their passionate, intimate love for one another. Pole didn't know how to approach Larry anymore; whilst Larry had gone back to lean and cause shit for everyone again.

Pole had enough of it at this point. From him going back on that faithful promise they had both shared.
"Promise you'll get better, I don't want to lose you Larry, I want to love you for the rest of my prolonged existence, I only have a few years left to live Larry and I want to spend them with you," Pole explained, "We humanised objects only live until the effects of what brought us to life leave our body forever and I will just go back to being a bus pole on the school bus until someone else brings me back to life, and your Lean addiction is slowly killing you, anymore and they won't be able to reverse the purple pigmentation on your skin for doing Lean."

"Please Larry," Pole pleaded, "Please let us stick together and be secondary school sweethearts for the rest of your time here."

"I promise Pole, I'll get better for you, and you alone, I want to be the better man for you, I promise you no matter what, I will get off my lean addiction for you my kitten," Larry cooed.

That promise was the foundation of their relationship. The promise of self love and taking proper care for himself. Pole and Larry kissed on it 2 years ago. The promise being sealed by the final Lean tasting kiss.

It was hard at first. Trying to find a proper councillor and consultant to treat his addiction but Pole supported him to get better, research how to help him get off of lean and supported him when going through withdrawal symptoms of lean as well. It was tough, trifling even but it was worth it to conceal and secure their precious love.

It was just a shame that the foundation of that relationship was now broken, shattered and discarded by the ginger lean addict. Pole just wondered if he truly loved her at all or as to whether the relationship was only built on addiction of purple substance through her rose tinted glasses.

That promise was long forgotten and now broken completely.

Pole didn't speak to him for over a week. Ball had just been creeping closer to Larry lean over that week as well. The unobtainable goddess going for the scrapes at the bottom of the barrel. All while Pole was just discarded by him. If only, if only things could go to how they once were.

Pole hadn't been doing so well either resorting to vaping to handle the stress of it all. Bucket came along to see how they were.
"Bucket?! You didn't see anything I swear it's not what it looks like -I-I-I can explain,"Pole exclaimed speaking rather hurriedly.

"It's fine, I just never thought you would be the type to do that when your down, anyway I noticed you and Larry ain't doing so well anyway, wanna talk about it?" Questioned Bucket.

"No, everything is fine, I'm just stressed about something else," Pole said attempting to dismay the truth of the situation.
"You sure, Larry seeming to be making you extremely stressed, everyone's noticed, same with him and Ball's promiscuous flirting, people believe he could be cheating on you,"

"Well," Pole began "it's just the promise me and him had, I'm fully aware he's gone back to how he use to be, unfortunately I've had to call his councillor about it, they aren't pleased he's gone back to doing lean. I feel as if it's all my fault, I must not of been good enough for him, I was getting that boring that he's gone back to doing lean, heh I should of expected it, maybe I should just let him pursue Ball, after all he clearly has no interest in me whatsoever now, heh and I thought we were gonna be secondary school sweethearts."
"Man that's rough, just know you always have me to come to Pole,"

Pole had said they're thanks and parted ways. Bucket was Poles ex girlfriend before she ended up with Larry and the two still were on good terms with one another. Apart of Pole missed her relationship with Bucket more than ever.

Her heartstrings tug at her, does she stay faithful to Larry or rekindle and old flame ready to be lit back to life? She didn't know what to do apart from stare at the sun pondering her choices and her relationship with Larry Lean as a whole.

The heartstrings were being tug and teared.
