Skid holds onto his lover and he couldn't hear much of the police sirens...

The volume was getting lower too...

" Pump, where are we going?! "
" A motel. "
" But wouldn't someone suspect me? "
" I meant a abandoned motel. They wouldn't find us there. "

Once they finally got there, the older one got off while Pump immediately got into a random room " In here! ". The older one gets in the room and the door closes.

The light was turned on and- damn this room looks nasty.

... But it's the best Pump could do...

The two sat on the bed and lays down. Skid immediately asked " Great... now i have no home, no food, nothing to drink. What are we going to do now? "

" We just have to scavenge. We'll make it out okay... i promise... "

Two weeks later...

Pump got back to the hotel with two bags of canned soup...

" Skid, i'm home! "

...

" Hey Pump! "

The older one came out of the bathroom " I took a poop because you were taking a while. Did something happen? "

" It was sorta hard to find more food, but it was worth it. "

The bag was dropped and the younger one went up to his lover. He kissed his lips and asks " You okay? "

" ... "
" Skid- "
" No... "

...

He still regrets it doesn't he?

Pump pulls Skid into a hug and rubs his back. He kisses his forehead and cheeks while shushing him. The younger one holds his partner close and said " I know you didn't mean to... you were mad... confuse... you were scared even, but i still love you. ".

Why?

How can he?

The older one sighs and sat on the bed " The police are still after me... everyone is afraid of me... i just c-can't do anything right. ". His lover holds him close and responded with " Nobody is perfect, Skid. That's why i'm planning to stay here for good. Do you want to start over with me? "

" Yes and i'm definitely willing to. "
" Are you sure you want that? "
" Mhm. "

The younger one smiles and was about to kiss his lover's soft lips-

Knock knock...

No...

Skid hides under the bed and Pump goes up to the door. He slowly opens it and asks " May i help you? "

" We're looking for a kid with a skeleton costume on. People around here call him Skid. " a male police officer said

The pumpkin boy lies by saying " Haven't seen him for a while. I know he escaped from Jail, but i didn't see him anywhere. ". The female police officer sighs and replies with " I see. If you do, let us know. ".

The child nodded as the two left. He closes the door and said " Okay... they're gone... y-you can come out, Skid. ".

The older one took a peek " I'm going to be doing a lot of hiding... "

" I'll be with you every step of the way. " Pump replies as he bent down to Skid's level.

The two share a kiss before the younger one helps his partner up.
