95. The Certificate Examination (II)
"Of course. We are required to be at least one-star chefs before enrollment. It's the last chance for us to pass the examination before school starts, so all those who haven't attended the test came over for it," replied Mao Dan.
Gu Bai asked, "What if we can't pass the exam?"
"We'll have to delay enrollment even if our scores are high. Also, if we can't get the one-star title within a year, we'll be forced to leave school. That's all the basic rules on our letters of acceptance. Why are you unaware of it?" Mao Dan looked at Gu Bai in confusion.
Gu Bai couldn't help but feel speechless.
He had no idea what that was. About the rule, he found no clue in Shen Bai's memory. Also, the letter of acceptance didn't mention any of it. If he didn't do this to open his restaurant, he wouldn't even bother to come here.
If so, did the school forget to send him the specific rules? Or did it mean that the requirements varied between ordinary students and those who were recommended?
Gu Bai couldn't be sure which was more like the truth. All he knew was that he had to pass the test no matter what.
Should he sigh for the requirements? If all of them had to pass the one-star chef test before entering university, most of them could become three-star chefs after four years of study. Then they would be qualified to become real chefs and open their restaurants. That must be an amazing achievement because many others could only admire them at their age.
On second thought, however, Gu Bai realized it was reasonable.
The students recruited by Imperial University were all talented at cooking. The rich ones had been able to be tutored by famous chefs since they were young, so the one-star title wouldn't be a problem for them.
Even the poor guys who lacked practice had at least solid and rich theoretical knowledge.
As far as Gu Bai knew, the test on the one-star level was more about the basic knowledge about cooking, so they wouldn't feel it difficult to pass it.
Just as Gu Bai learned a lot of information about Imperial University that he had not heard before, they heard a car parking beside them.
"F*ck, is that a fast car of the Shen family?" Mao Dan stretched his neck and looked back in surprise.
Gu Bai was never interested in such things, but he turned his head back instinctively as he heard "the Shen family". As expected, there were several luxury fast cars parking before their eyes. They were all in a unified style and shared the same specific logo of the Shen family.
There was another high-end luxury car parked in front of them, which also had the logo of the Shen family but looked more luxurious.
"Does anyone from the Shen family come here for the test? Is it Mr. Shen? That can't be true. Mr. Shen just got his three-star chef certificate half a month ago. He shouldn't be here for the four-star certificate within such a short time," Mao Dan talked to himself, but then he clinched one of his hands and punched the other, saying excitedly, "It must be Mr. Shen's sister, Shen Liangqing! She turned 18 this year and has been accepted as a freshman in our major at Imperial University. She must be here for the one-star chef certificate."
It was as if reality was trying to verify Mao Dan's words. Several bodyguards in black opened the car door respectfully. The crowd saw a slender leg coming out, and then a beautiful girl got out of the car.
Her delicate and pure face looked innocent when she smiled. But now, she peeked at these people waiting in line with a sense of superiority. She withdrew her gaze as if these people would make her sick the next second. Then she entered the Chef Guild, having no intention of lining up.
