The Wizards had wandered off to the Muggle world, attending parties and celebrating, as owls frantically flew over their heads throughout the entirety of muggle Britain.
The muggles had made a note of everything, but the wizards couldn't care less. That was when Minerva McGonagall, in her animagus form was keeping a close eye on a certain muggle family.
Whilst she was doing that, Rubeus Hagrid had been trying to separate Brooke from the lifeless bodies of James and Lily as Brooke had spent the entire night putting Harry to sleep and then, silently sobbing her heart out on the loss of the people she loved the most.
Brooke had demanded a respectful cremation of her fallen Brother and Sister-in-law, and Hagrid was clueless about what to do. And because of the same reason, Brooke had been throwing a temper tantrum all over the place, which was still within such a limit that allowed Harry to have a peaceful sleep.
Hagrid stepped out for a few minutes, while Brooke was still mourning.
"Give Harry and Brooke to me, Hagrid, I'm Harry's godfather and Brooke is nothing less than a baby sister to me, I'll look after them -" Brooke was snapped out of her trance by a familiar voice.
"I have me orders from Dumbledore, He said Harry is ter go ter his aunt an' uncle's."
Brooke covered her mouth and stopped listening, as she thought that Sirius was James and Lily's secret-keeper, and he was the one who sold them to Voldemort.
"I won't need it anymore," Brooke heard Sirius' voice as he silently handed over his bike to Hagrid. Brooke went out of the house and approached Hagrid, only to see a giant dog retreating. Brooke wanted to run after the dog, pull his ears and demand an explanation, but Hagrid stopped her.
Brooke sighed and decided to ask Hagrid if he could help her with the Cremation, and the half-giant agreed and found a stone, on which, Brooke's dagger carved out 'James and Lily Potter. 1960-1981. HUSBAND. BROTHER. FATHER. SON. FRIEND. and WIFE. SISTER-IN-LAW. MOTHER. DAUGHTER. FRIEND'.
Brooke laid a Rose and a Lily on Lily's grave, as Lily used to tell her that she was the 'Rose to her Lily'. And Brooke laid the silver dagger on her brother's grave. "Brooke loves you and Lily, Brother James. Forever."
With this, Brooke frantically rushed back into the house, packed up all of her's and Harry's necessary belongings, and rushed out of the house. She had final look at that house, sighed and smiled weakly at it.
A few minutes later, they had now arrived at Privet Drive where Brooke was immediately greeted by a concerned McGonagall. She reciprocated her greetings and answered her questions politely, struggling to stand up on her feet due to her injuries. When Dumbledore approached the doorstep of the Dursley's house, Brooke spoke up.
"So is this our new home?"
"I'm afraid this is just Harry's new home, Ms. Potter. Harry will be staying at Lily's sister's house until it's the right time to bring him back to the wizarding world." Dumbledore spoke up.
Brooke shook her head and protested. "I can't leave Harry alone. I won't. I won't. I won't." McGonagall's features softened at the sight of the pleading girl in front of her.
"The magic that saved Harry, was Lily Potter's blood magic, which came through Lily's sacrifice. Harry being around Lily's family would make him stronger." Dumbledore exclaimed.
"But I'm Harry's and Lily's family," Brooke interjected.
"You certainly are, Ms. Potter. However, you do not have a blood relation with Lily Evans. So that's why Harry has to stay here, with Lily's blood relative." Dumbledore completed.
Brooke was about to retort when Dumbledore spoke up. "This is my decision, Ms. Potter. And this is final. You need to have faith in us."
Brooke did not respond. She knew that it would've been no use to take the argument further. Hence, she sighed and nodded, and picked Harry up.
"I'll be back for you, yeah? And we'll be a proper family." She kissed Harry's forehead as he cooed happily. "I love you, Harry. I'll see you in a bit," she smiled and handed Harry over to Dumbledore.
"Come on, Ms. Potter. We'll take you to your new home." Professor McGonagall spoke up as Brooke took one last look at Harry and boarded the motorcycle, along with Professor McGonagall.
As the Motorcycle gained speed, Brooke drifted off into her thoughts as the vision of Voldemort, the bright green flash, and Godric's Hollow kept on running around in her head. And before anyone knew it, Brooke was out cold.
As they reached their destination, Brooke was still asleep.
McGonagall walked up to the front door, which had been answered almost immediately.
"James and Lily are gone," McGonagall explained as a few gasps and looks of sadness were exchanged.
"But we need your help with her. If you can." McGonagall stated and motioned to the girl, who was fast asleep in the motorcycle's sidecar.
"We'd be more than obliged to!" The redhead couple stated in unison.
