31st October 1986

"So, you're telling me that first, you crashed into Owlery, AGAIN?" Brooke exclaimed as she sat beside Tonks in the Hospital Wing, and Madam Pomfrey tended to the pink-haired girl's injuries.

"Yes, Bree. I did." Tonks replied, nonchalantly.

"And then, into the Whomping Willow, AGAIN?" Brooke asked, slightly raising her voice.

"Calm down Bree, you'll wake the unconscious Ben Cooper up. He had fainted after having a single look at the werewolf boggart in the Greenhouse." Tonks chuckled as they turned towards the unconscious Gryffindor.

"You should rest, Dora. You can visit Hogsmeade next week." Brooke stated, concern laced in her voice.

"No, I have waited too long for visiting Zonko's, and my throat aches for Madam Rosemerta's butterbeer," Tonks exclaimed.

"Penny and I will get the stuff for you, Dora. You need to rest. First the werewolf boggart in herbology and now your frequent accidents in flying class? It would be physically and mentally exhausting for you." Brooke exclaimed.

"I AM FINE, BREE. LET ME GO AND I WON'T TELL ANYONE THAT CHAR-" Tonks was cut off by Brooke's hand over her mouth, and the rest of her voice was muffled.

"Wotcher, Tonks. I'll cut that tongue of yours if you say another word." Brooke spoke up.

"Ugh, fine. But I'm coming to Hogsmeade. I can't let you go all by yourself if you're going on a date with the dragon boy." Tonks told her friend.

"It's not a date, Dora. He just casually asked me if I wanted to get butterbeer with him. Besides, Penny will be with me. And, Rowan is staying in the castle to study, perhaps you can do that with her if you are so restless. Actually, you know what, I'll stay here too if you want. But you need to rest. Or else you won't be able to fly for a while." Brooke told the Metamorphmagus.

"Fine then, I'll take the form of Brooke Potter and tell Charlie that Brooke Potter fancies him." Tonks stated to receive an immediate reply from Brooke "NO YOU WON'T. Okay fine, come along, but Penny will be keeping a strict eye on you, and so will I. Also, I don't fancy him." Brooke stated.

"You do fancy him, Bree. Accept it." Tonks stated.

"Fancy who?" the familiar voice of a familiar redhead was heard.

"Uh, Peeves. He's quite hilarious, I must say. George and Fred are going to love him," Brooke abruptly stated as Charlie narrowed his eyes, confused.

"Oh hey, Charlie. Are you here to take Brooke?" Tonks asked, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Umm, yes. And I've asked Penny to get your entries done and she'll be here to take you," Charlie told the pink-haired girl.

"Thanks, Dragon boy," Tonks said and waved the pair away.

"What was that all about?" Charlie asked a flustered Brooke, as they were headed towards the carriages.

"Just Tonks being... Tonks." Brooke replied.

Charlie nodded and lend out his hand for Brooke to take, which she happily did as the boarded the carriage.

When they arrived at the Three Broomsticks, Brooke was greeted by the sweet smell of Madam Rosmerta's famous butterbeer as she and Charlie took a seat, placed their order, and Madam Rosmerta bought them the delicacies they had ordered.

They took a few sips of the warm Butterbeer as Brooke started talking about the latin healing spells she had been reading about.

"Time flies, doesn't it?" Charlie spoke up. "It does. But why are you saying that right now?" Brooke asked the redhead.

"Percy will be attending Hogwarts next year. Will probably get sorted into Gryffindor, just like the rest of us. It seems like just yesterday when you were reading out muggle novels to him." Charlie stated.

"Wow, you've just made me realize that it's been five years since Dumbledore left Harry at Lily's sister's house. I could do literally anything to meet him. But I'd prefer him to be safe over my personal desires." Brooke breathed. "I have a feeling that Harry and Ron are going to be the best of friends."

Charlie looked at the blonde. "Why do you think so?" he asked with a smirk.

"I don't know, maybe because us Potters like being around redheads," Brooke stated and winked at Charlie as he turned to the color of his Gryffindor scarf.

Charlie took another sip of the lukewarm liquid, only to discover that there was a lining of butterbeer foam surrounding his lips. Brooke reached for her napkin and brought her fingers up to his lips, cleaning the foam up, as Charlie observed the girl's movements very carefully.

"Charlie?" "Yes, Bree?" the redhead answered, still stunned by Brooke's actions. "Why does Bill look like he's spying on us?" Brooke asked as Charlie turned in the direction of her gaze and sent a glare towards his brother, and Bill abruptly looked away. Charlie turned back to look at Brooke but smiled at the sight behind her.

"And why do Penny and Tonks look like they are spying on us?" It was now Brooke's turn to send a glare to her friends as they looked away and giggled.

Brooke and Charlie were now about to be 14 and had experienced major physical changes. Charlie had grown a tad bit taller than Brooke and had started developing muscular and veiny arms. Brooke had been caught staring at Charlie a few times by Rowan, Tonks, and Penny, and they had started teasing Brooke about the same.

Suddenly, Brooke felt a shooting pain cover her stomach. Her eyes widened and she shifted uncomfortably in her seat. Brooke was confused, but after a few seconds, the realization occurred and she gasped loudly. Charlie stopped talking and turned to her. "Are you okay, love?" Charlie asked.

"I think I got my period." Brooke breathed. Charlie's eyes widened and he got up and said, "Do you have a tampon?" Brooke shook her head, panicking. "Don't worry. I'll ask Penny and Tonks. I'm pretty sure they might be having extra tampons. You can go to the washroom, I'll send them to you." Brooke nodded and went to the washroom, as Charlie walked over to Brooke's friends.

"Hey, Tonks, Penny. Brooke's probably got her period right now." Penny got up and said, "I've got a few extra tampons with me, I'll help her." "Thank Merlin. She's in the washroom." Charlie said as Penny rushed to the washroom. Charlie turned to Tonks. "Wotcher, Tonks. Would Brooke like to have something sweet or anything? I'm thinking I'll get her something from Honeydukes for her cravings." Tonks thought for a moment and said, "she generally has a craving for Pumpkin Pasties. So you can get those for her-" before she could complete her sentence, Charlie muttered a brief thanks to Tonks and rushed out of the pub, running towards Honeydukes. Tonks smiled at the boy and was happy that her friend was lucky enough to have a Charles Weasley in her life.
