Chapter 22

"Bella" Carina stood in the doorway of her house, her cheeks furiously blushing as she looked at her girlfriends gesture.

"You didn't have to" Maya stepped forward so she was closer to the brunette and placed a kiss to her cheek.

It was soft.

Just like Maya.

"You deserve little small gestures like this" she handed the flowers over to her girlfriend before Carina stood back so Maya could walk into the house.

"Well, thank you Bella" Carina walked over to the kitchen found a vase and filled it with water, before placing the roses into the vase.

Maya smiled in response before walking back over to the door.

"Where are you going?" Carina quickly caught up to Maya and grabbed her hand.

"I need to go shopping for my apartment, it's still so bare" Carina tilted her head to the side smiling at her girlfriend.

"I can help" Maya placed a gentle kiss to her girlfriends lips before leading them both out of Carinas house.

"This lamp" Maya had a budget to spend on her apartment and so far it looked like they'd go way over it.

"Ok we have to pick between the lamp and the cushions" Carina stood and pondered the decision.

"The cushions" Maya nodded and took the lamp from the trolly.

"I need food to last for a month" Maya said as they made their way to another store after paying for their items.

"Bella you'll be at mine for most of it" Maya shook her head.

"Nope you're coming to mine more" Carina smiled as they entered the store.

"Ok meals" It didn't take too long for them to pick out ingredients for meals and snacks as well as healthy foods and fruits.

"That was exhausting" Maya sighed as she pushed the trolly towards the car.

"Oh shush" Carina laughed as she helped Maya take the bags from the trolly and into the car.

Carina didn't know this but Maya had a photo she had took of the brunette when they went on their third date.

It had fallen out of Mayas back pocket somehow, Carina smiled down at the small photo in her hands.

"Hey give that back" Maya hadn't realised the photo had fallen from her pocket, her cheeks turned a light shade of pink from being caught.

She looked gorgeous as always in the photo and Maya had kept the small piece of laminated card in her pocket ever since.

She had other photos of her girlfriend that she was planning to print and frame and put on her bedside table.

Maya took the photo from her girlfriend before shoving it back into her pocket and joining her on the sofa.

"I still can't believe my girlfriend has her own place" Maya smiled at her girlfriend before leaning further back into the sofa.

Maya couldn't believe it either.

Finally she didn't live with her father.

"I'm a responsible gal" Carina laughed softly at Maya's response.

"You are Bella" Maya smiled before leaning closer to Carina.

"Kiss me" Carina smiled before pressing her lips against Maya's.

"I. Love. Kissing. You" Maya whispered between kisses.

"Me too" Carina said as she broke the kiss by laughing.

"can I stay over tonight?" Carina asked, wanting to be alone with her girlfriend for as much as she could before school started again.

"Of course, you're always welcome" Maya smiled at the brunette before leaning in again to place a softer kiss to her lips.

"The aliens invaded the Russians?" Carina asked as she focused on the Tv screen in front of her.

Maya had chose the film they were currently watching, but it turns out Carina didn't really understand anything that was going on.

"Yes" Maya glanced down at her girlfriend before looking back at the Tv screen.

"Sì ok" Carina was silent for a moment before speaking again.

"But I thought the aliens were good?" Carina asked confused again by what was going on.

Maya grabbed the remote that was laying next to her on the sofa and paused the film.

"There is no point in watching this if you don't understand what's going on" Carina nodded her head, falling silent again.

"Sorry" Maya placed her hand on carinas thigh silently telling her it was alright.

Maya pressed play and the film continued to play.

Carina had so many questions but didn't want to aggravate her girlfriend even more.

She didn't get films like this, that's why she mainly stuck to romance, they were mostly all the same and had the same plot, they were easy to follow.

She had her pick of the film last week though so it was only fair that Maya picked this time, she could be confused for an hour of her life, she didn't mind at all.

The film finally came to an end and the credits rolled in.

Carina had fallen asleep against the blonde, her face tucked in the crook of her neck.

"Carina" Maya had noticed her girlfriend fast asleep half an hour into the film but didn't want to wake her.

She whispered to Carina to try and wake her up, but she was fast asleep, she must of really needed it.

Maya sighed before turning the Tv off and standing from the sofa, but being careful because Carina was fully leaning on her before, so she didn't want her to fall off the sofa.

She hooked one arm under her neck and her other arm under her waist.

Maya was quite strong, so she easily hoisted her off the sofa.

Luckily they had already built the bed in Mayas room, otherwise she'd be sleeping on the sofa.

Carina only stirred when Maya accidently knocked her foot against the door frame.

"Shit" she whispered as she continued to make her way to her bed with her sleeping girlfriend.

Once she arrived to her bedroom she placed Carina down onto the mattress, being careful as not to wake her.

The brunette was still in her clothes she wore that day but it was too risky to even try to get her out of them.

She was obviously exhausted and needed the rest.

Maya got herself ready quietly before sliding into bed with the brunette.

She had rolled from her back onto her front, Maya placed her arm over her waist and snuggled into the Italian.

It was nights like these she treasured deeply.
