Kyle pulled his shirt on and pulled his pants up. I pulled my shirt down and fastened the button on my pants.

"It's only a five minute walk from here to my place. Do you wanna get the Ouija board?" Kyle suggested. "Possibly a condom too?" He added. "For the Ouija board, yes and to the condom.. Well its better to be safe rather than to be sorry.." I said.

We walked to Kyles house and he ran up the stairs, into the building. I just stood outside. After a few minutes of being alone he ran out of the house Ouija board in hand and jumped a flight of 8 stairs. I smiled. He walked over to me and grabbed my hand. I watched as our fingers tangled together.

We walked down to Cherry lane and started down the street, both of us searching for 183. Almost at the end, Kyle found the building marked 183 and we walked up to the door. He knocked. An old man answered the door about a minute after.

"What can I do for you?" He smiled as he spoke. "Hi, we were sent here by the grave keeper, up by the school." I said

"Oh yes!" He exclaimed. "Little Teddy said something about him telling two youngsters about this place," his face was bright and happy. "Come on in." He opened the door for us and we stepped inside.

To out right there was rental Ouija boards and to the left there was rooms for 'sale'. "We should look at rooms." I whispered. He nodded and we went left. Behind the counter, the man stood. "Can we look at a room?" I asked. "Of course!" He said cheerfully, his smile created wrinkles around his eyes and mouth.
We walked up to a room with. Two flights of stairs up he unlocked a room. It had beautiful blue walls, a queen size bed, a bar fridge, and an amazing soaker tub.

"How much?" I asked "$150 dollars." He replied with a smile. "Can we make a down payment?" Kyle asked. "I don't see why not." The man said. Kyle reached in his pocket, pulled out $30 dollars and gave it to the man. I pulled out my $20 dollars and gave it to the man.

"$50 dollars is our down payment. We can go get the rest right away." I said. "You know what," the man started. "you seem like two well behaved kids. I'm going to do you two a favor." He said. "Bring $50 and this room is yours." By the time he was finished his sentence Kyle was shaking his hand and was saying thank you so much sir.

When we got to the main part of the building, the man went behind his and folded his hands on the counter. "We'll be back in at least a half-hour" I said as we walked out the door.

First we walked to TD Bank and I took out $80 dollars then we walked to my place. My mom wasn't home do it made this easier. I pulled Kyle to my room and grabbed a couple band shirts, some ripped jeans, undergarments, and some socks. I pulled my posters off the wall and carefully rolled them up. After that was done I grabbed my charger and dock, put it in my bag and looked at the bare walls of my old room. I frowned and looked at Kyle, who was carefully examining what I had done. I kissed him and walked out of the room. He followed and lead the way to his house. When we got there he went inside and I followed. We went to his room and he grabbed everything. All his clothes, CD's, radio, posters, money. All of it. We left his room and went down to the kitchen where he found a pen and a piece of paper.

Dear Mom,
Please, don't cry. I'm moving out. I'll still be in school and I've got a job down at the local shoe store. You should come by and visit me sometime. I can get you a discount on shoes. If you need me, I'm just a text away. You'll always be MY foster mother. Thank you for putting up with 6 years of my bs.. Love your foster son, Kyle.

He left his note on the kitchen table and walked away without a glance back. I glanced at the note. Mainly at the word "foster". I scampered out of the house and to Kyle's side.

"I didn't know your- well were a foster child." I said. "Yeah, well my biological parents died when I was 6 and I was adopted from an orphanage by my foster mother. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner." Kyle kissed my cheek and grabbed my hand, a garbage bag slung over his shoulder. With my free hand, I pulled my phone out and texted my Mom.

Me: Hey umm.. don't be surprised but I won't be home when you get back. In fact I don't think I'll ever be back. I've moved out. I'll be back to get the rest of my stuff soon. Okay? I'm always a call or text away i f you need me. I'm still going to school so don't worry about that. If you didn't know, I do have a job. I can support myself now. Don't hold on. It's time I leave the nest. I'll always love you Mom.

I hit send and plunged the phone into my back pocket. When we reached Cherry lane, Kyle stopped and grabbed my hands. I looked at him. He smiled.

"Izzy, look at us. We're starting our life together. We have our own place, we've moved away from our parents. I'm so happy I'll be able to wake up next to the most beautiful woman in the world, that I will be there with you through thick and thin, and that we don't have to hide our affection for each other. Izzy, I love you." He wrapped his arms around me and pressed his lips to mine. I kissed back softly and melted in his grasp. I pulled back some.

"Maybe we should go to our new apartment." I suggested quietly. He nodded and we carried on down the road.

"Here you go sir," I smiled "here's the rest of the money we owe." I said proud. "Okay, thank you Miss. Now we do have rules." He said and went over them.

1) quiet time is from 11pm to 7am.
2) breakfast lunch and dinner are servers in the common area. Don't miss them your bound for a surprise.
3) No riff-raff.

With that he handed us our key and walked us to our room. "I hope you two enjoy living here." The man said, turned on his heels and walked away.

When we got all our things put away, we lied down on our bed. I pulled the covers over us, he wrapped his arms around me, and drifted to sleep. I soon followed in a wave of fatigue as I drifted off in the comfort of his arms.
