Lord Shiva, whom humans know today by many names; He is known in this world of death by names like Mahadev, Bhoot Adhipati, Bholenath, Rudra, Ashutosh, Shankar, Trikal Darshi, Trinetra Dari etc. The story of Lord Bholenath is auspicious; only by listening to which the soul attains goodness. The praise of Mahadev is also a creation in the cremation ground. The personification of Lord Shiva, the formless form of Sadha Shiva, has been mentioned in "Shri Shiva Mahapuran". Whose listening life may bring happiness, prosperity and peace in every way.

"Shri Shiv Mahapuran" was first propagated by Shri Tumbruka ji for the salvation of Binduga, the phantom husband of Chanchula Devi. Its written lecture was given by Shri Maharishi Ved Vyas ji. In which there are twenty-four thousand verses and seven sahitaas   are included. Which was later spread by Shri Sutji to Shri Shaunakji.

Shri Shaunak ji asked - O sage! You are blessed Shri Sutji, you are the knower of the divine element. Oh great! Tell me this one story which is the most auspicious and destroyer of all sins, by the mere hearing of which man can get rid of all sins. You know that in this period of time man has become of demonic nature; He has many destructive demerits like lust, greed, settling down, jealously. Is there any way by which one can attain devotion ? What is the best way to purify the human race in this Kalyug l period? At this time, someone should tell me this scripture instrument which is most auspicious and the means of purifying may be the most sacred. Such a remedy should be such that a person becomes pure soon and it is possible to attain salvation for a person of pure nature.

Shri Sutji said - O great Muni! Mr. Shaunakji, you are blessed; Because in your heart there is a curiosity and special Love to listen to mythology. That's why I tell you the story of Shri Shiva Mahapuran, the most auspicious grantha who awakens devotion, endowed with the principles of all the scriptures; Which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Shri Shiv Mahapuran is considered to be the form of Lord Bholenath. Listening to it gives a feeling of bliss and devotion. Its Shravan is like nectar for the ears. By the Shravan of this story, a person becomes free from premature death and a terrible defect like Kaal Sarp Dosh also ends. This story was first spread by Shri Tumbruka ji with the permission of Mother Parvati. It was written by Gurudev Shri Ved Vyas ji after receiving the instruction from Maharishi Santkumar.

This Purana was composed for the salvation of man in Gaur Kalikal. This Shiva Purana is one of the best scriptures. Which is considered to be the form of Lord Shiva and should be consumed in every way with the whole heart. Its recitation and hearing gives supreme happiness and peace. In this way a person immersed in Shiva devotion may attain Shiva Dham. All the sins of a human being are destroyed by Shravan with his love. May enjoy all kinds of pleasures in this world and attains the world of Sadashiv.

This His Holiness Purana consisting of seven companions is the form of Shiva himself; That is why its worship and recitation should be done in a silky cloth basis. The person who recites it regularly or does Shravan with love, becomes free from all sins. By reciting the Shiva Purana of Lord Shiva, Lord Shiva becomes Bhutishwar, Bholenath and fulfills all the wishes of his devotees. Man becomes purified by the recitation of this Maha Purana; This brings them satisfaction, peace and devotion.Became a phantom of Binduga and Chanchula to take detachment from the world to repent of sin.

Once upon a time, there lived a Brahmin named Binduga in the place of Vashkal. He was a brahmin by name only; Because he was only immersed in misconduct. He was very evil and a great sinner. His wife was very beautiful, but he was still involved in prostitution; He used to walk on the kumara only. He used to earn money from theft, plundering. His wife's name was Chanchula. She was a godly soul in all respects, she was always engaged in the work of God; She used to run for God. Having such a wife, that evil Brahmin had become a prostitute. Many years of his life were spent immersed in such sin. His wife followed the path of Dharma for a long time; She was leading a life bearing Kalesh. After some time, in the company of her abusive husband, she also became a misdemeanor.

In this way, a lot of time wasted for those husband and wife immersed in misconduct. One day, while stealing and running, those evil brahmins, Binduga killed a Gir cow and its life in a water well. As soon as Pran was shot, Yama's messengers took him to Yampuri, beating him. There he was thrown into hell. After suffering many kinds of sufferings in hell for a long time, that sinner read in the vagina of a terrible vampire. Chanchula stayed at home with her sons for a long time after the death of her evil husband.

One day, she came to the Gokarna region along with her brothers and sisters on a holy festival. At that time, along with the rest of the pilgrims, he also took a bath in the water of the shrine. With the desire to see the fair, she came to a temple of Gumti-Gumti; There he heard from the mouth of a learned brahmin the most sacred and auspicious tale of Lord Shiva.

The sages were saying that a woman has sex with a man; After death, when he is a caste to Yamlok, at that time the Yamdoot by putting hot iron in his vagina gives him the ill-effects of this great sin. Chanchula was trembling with fear after hearing this word from the mouth of the sage Brahmin. At the end of the story when all the listeners left; Playful went to solitude to the brahmin who told the story and spoke to him

Chanchula said - O Brahmandev! I am a great sinner; I am certainly worthy of reproach. Oh lord! I had become corrupt by going out of the path of religion and engaging in misdeeds. Oh brahmin! Your knowledge and teachings have created a feeling of detachment in me. Alas ! Don't know what painful torture I will have to go through.....
