It is now your second day working at the pizzaplex. you tossed and turned all night because your cat wouldn't let you get any sleep. you stumble out of bed and check the time on your phone.
"10:36!?!?" you yell. you where supposed to be there at 9:00!!
you dash downstairs grab your car keys and uniform and sprint outside.
"guess ill have no time to eat breakfast today." you sigh. "what will my boss think..."
You start your truck and pull out of the yard. luckily when you get onto the road there is not a lot of traffic. after not to long you arrive at your work. Vanessa is waiting for you at the door. she looks angry. you know this isn't going to go very good but you begin to step outside and approach her
"Its about time you showed up!!" yells Vanessa "usually I would sit here and lecture you but your already a lost cause! get to the daycare!"
You nod sheepishly then speed walk to the daycare. you feel kind of bad, maybe you'll buy an alarm clock.
"Hello friend! how are you doing-" exclaims sundrop. he notices you don't look very happy "are you okay"
"just got yelled at by my manager. had an awful sleep too" you sigh
"Well.. Take this!" he passes you a small candy. it smells pretty good "pop the whole thing in your mouth!"
You obey.
"Whhaaaaa- What is this! it taste's flipping crazy!!" you yell
"Haha its a Sundrop! its a candy that gives you energy"
"Cool!" you say. it gave you instant energy but it makes you wonder what's all in there.
"heheheheheh" sudrop snickers. he's trying not to laugh "G-Guess w-what's the main ingredient"
"What?" you say. much of the candy still left in your mouth
"Glitter glue!!" he exclaims between laughs
you spit out the candy instantly. why would somebody put glitter glue in a candy!?
"Got you!!" sundrop laughs. the children who where watching laugh too "the children told me it would be funny! they where right!!"
"wow" you smile. you haven't even been here two days and everybody is already ganging up on you.
just as you guys finish laughing a loud voice goes over the intercom saying there is a minor power malfunction and that the power may go out shortly.
"well you know what that means." says sundrop. he's smiling but seems a little nervous "G-go get your flashlights then we can have an early naptime!"
you tilt your head. why is sundrop so scared of the dark.
"heh you too sunshine. we wouldn't want anything happening to you!" he chuckles nervously
just as sun is ushering you to go get a flashlight an join the children the lights flicker then turn off. you swear you heard sundrop wince for a second but when you turn around he is no longer there.
"sun?" you ask "where are you? the darkness isn't that scary. if your hiding you can come out?"
"Oh i can assure you he's fine~" says a scratchy voice
you look above you too see two red eyes.
Oh
Gosh...
"AHHHHHHHHH" you scream as you run away, what the hell was that thing. you run into the play place entry way and begin try to climb away
"Naught, Naughty security guard. Its past your bedtime~" the monster says
you slow your breathing in hope that you wont be detected but its already to late...
"heheheh looks like i found you~" says the monster, its head doing a slow spin. "why don't we play a game of hide and seek. this will be fun..."
you just nod. obviously terrified
"Good, i thought so. I'll count to 30." snickers the monster
you crawl away. this entire thing is so crazy. where the heck is sundrop when you need him. you decide to hide in the curly slide. you hear that thing, whatever it is count to 30 and before long you can hear it coming in your direction. you hold your breath.
"found you~" it lifts up your chin with one finger. "why are you so scared starfall~' it chuckles again
"Well i- uh- its- its not every day you play hide and seek w-with a giant monster"
"Oh i can assure you i'm far from a monster~"
The way that thing looks at you makes your stomach turn. it even has red eyes
"Well why don't we check on the children. We've had enough fun~" says the creature.
it moves your hair out of your eyes and gestures for you to walk in front of it. you do. you are able to catch a better glimpse of the creature. it looks like a robot, tall and skinny just like sun, he also has a sleeping cap rather then sun rays,he looks sorta like a moon. he noticed you staring at him
"im pretty cool huh." he smiles uncharacteristically
you nod. still a little spooked although the moon themed robot seems significantly nicer. maybe he just wanted to seem tough as first impression. you where just about to ask the robot one more thing before the lights start to flicker. he looks surprised, them bam, he disappears just as the lights turn on.
"Hello? Moon-face? where are you" you ask.
sundrop appears behind you and taps you on the shoulder before crouching down to your level
"W-what happened. I hurt anyone" sundrop says. he tugs at his face, he's making no sense.
"You where hiding. you couldn't of hurt anyone" you tilt your head and soften your expression
he covers one of his eyes
"Me and that robot share a combined endoskeleton. his name is moondrop, we also share thoughts and ideas. he liked when you called him moon-face"
"Ohhhhhhhhh. this makes a lot more sense! No wonder your so scared of the dark! moondrop can be a tinsy bit scary"
"yeah" sundrop blushes "W-well. we better go reorganize the kiddies, it'll be time for them to go soon."
"Okay! i also need to buy an alarm clock before i go home."
"Oh i have just the thing!" says sun. he grabs a small moon themed alarm clock. "this is moon's alarm clock. he says its okay if you have it as long as you make it to work on time."
you laugh. from now on you will make it to work on time. you say goodbye then head out the door "tomorrow is another day"
