Tubbo and Tommy flew over to America to meet Ranboo and Zack when it happened. Everything was going great, the four of them were doing a Lego building stream on Ranboo's account when they all got a breaking news alert saying that patients from the Pogtopia Research Center escaped. The patients were being experimented on using inhuman methods and toxic chemicals which is causing them to behave violently, coming in contact with them has been giving people strange side effects. Stay away from anyone that has come into contact with these patients, authorities have the situation under control. The boys thought it was a joke at first but when Ranboo's parents burst into the room, telling the four to stop what they were doing, gather their things and head into the basement they started to panic.
Ranboo had never ended a stream so fast. The three that didn't live in the house, grabbed their suitcases that they still had yet to unpack and rushed down the stairs. Ranboo on the other hand proceeded to run around his room, gathering important items like clothes, his phone, and his memory book.
The four boys, Ranboo's parents, and his cat Enderchest were all sitting on the cold concrete floor of the basement. They had a radio with them, blaring static as they waited for any further news.

                              ----------

             A week had passed.

Ranboo was writing in his book to try and remember everything that has occurred this past week. Tubbo was brushing out the light tan and cream colored fur that wrapped from his hooved feet to just below his knee caps. Zack was playing with Enderchest, and Tommy was complaining about being bored, like usual. Ranboo's parents went out to look for more food and water the day before, and have yet to return, the boys were getting restless and worried.
"Do you guys think we should go look for them?" the British goat boy asked, pausing in his grooming.
"Who?" Ranboo looked up from his journal.
"Your parents, dude," the blond said.
"I think we should stay here," said Zack, not looking up from the dark colored feline.
"We can't stay here! We're gonna die if they don't return!" Tubbo tried to reason with the other three.
"Tubbo, I understand you're concerned but we don't have weapones, we don't have the supplies or resources to kill those... things," Zack said sitting up. his long black tail curling against the concrete ground. Tommy sits up at this.
"Oh come on Big Z, we're strong men," the British blond flexed his thin arms, "we can beat those zombies no problem!"
Ranboo's pointed ears perked up after a bit. "I'm with Zack on this one, I'm actually with Zack on this one, we can't beat those things," the duel eyed ender said from his place in the corner.
"Oh fuck off man, c'mon Tubs, let's kill those zombie bastards!" Tom stood and pulled the goat boy to his hooves.
"Hell yeah!" Tubbo yelled in return with a smile on his face, matching his friend's enthusiasm.
"Guys wait!" the two enderhybrids yelled, already hearing the quieting noise of steps up the creaky wooden stairs.
The enders look at each other when the two British boys stop chearing about killing the "undead fuckers" and their footsteps stopped. It's silent, and neither of the boys like it.
"Guys?" Ranboo called out, receiving ear piercing screams in responce. Both of the boys felt their ears flatten atop their heads as they heard a door being slammed shut. The two Brits ran back into the room before either of them could process what they heard.
"What just happened? Zack asked as both Americans stood and walked over to the shaken boys.
"Blood..... so much blood" Toby mumbled.
"Your.... parents" Tommy managed to get out.
             Ranboo's dual colored eyes widened.
"What about them?" Ranboo asked is disbelief, taking a step closer to the speechless boys.
"Let's just say, we now know why your parents haven't come back," Tommy said quietly, pressing the tips of his pointer fingers together. The tall ender hybrid looked down, his tail motionless on the ground. Zack placed a hand on Ranboo's shoulder, feeling him shake underneath his palm.
"W-what.... what do you mean?" Ranboo's voice was shaky. Had he really just lost his parents? He wasn't sure if he could trust Tommy's word, he trusted Tommy, but the British boy tends to joke about stuff like that. However, Ranboo doesn't want to possibly see the dead bodies of his parents. He'll just have to trust Tommy this time.
"They.... they're gone Ranboo, they're dead," Tubbo stepped forward, grabbing the tall boy's trembling hands. His hoof step echoe through the silent basement.
"How did we not hear anything?" the black haired boy asked softly, hoping to not set Ranboo off into a sobbing mess. But Ranboo was oddly calm about his parent's death.
"This basement is soundproof... the only way to hear anything was if something scratched at the doors," the tall boy explained quietly.
As if on cue, there was a scratching on the door leading to the outside. All the boys froze, looking up at the doors in fear. Enderchest seemed to sense it was okay because she went straight to the door. The four looked at each other, then followed the cat hesitantly.
The human boy slowly opened one of the heavy doors, before he could open it fully a bird flew into the cold room. Tommy quickly closed the door and turned around to watch the dark bird, which landed on Zack's extended arm.
"It's one of Phil's crows!" Toby said, pointing out the light blue diamonds painted on the bird's wing feathers.
"It has a scroll with it," Zack said as he grabbed the rolled up paper. The ender boy opens it and reads it aloud.

"I hope this reaches you and I hope you four, Ranboo, Tubbo, Tommy, and Zack are all alive and safe. Those of us in the UK are hoping to get to the US as soon as possible. We want to see our friends again before some of us die and all things turn to shit. We are going to try and get to Florida first to get the others, then head down to Texas to join Schlatt and Minx in a bigger shelter. There is no guarantee that all of us will make it, but we can try out best. We're not sure where your parents are Tommy and Tubbo, we tried looking but there was nothing, not even your pets, we're very sorry. Please try and meet us in Texas, try to head to Schlatt's as soon as possible. All of our friends are safe with Kristen and I. Please hurry, and please stay safe.

                                          From Philza,"

Zack finished, looking around at the three others. Ranboo rushes to tear out a piece of paper from his memory book and grabs his pen that never seems to run out if ink.
"Ranboo?" Tubbo called out, listening to the scratching of pen on paper. After a minute he rolls the paper up and grabs one of the many ribbon bookmarks from his journal. Ranboo wraps the ribbon around the rolled up paper. He holds his long arm out to the crow, it moves from Zack's arm to Ranboo's. The hybrid gives the paper to the bird.
"Go back to Phil and give him this," The dual eyed boy said as he opened one of the doors to the outside. He had his eyes screwed shut so he doesn't see what might be in front of him. He closed the door again as soon as he felt the bird take off into the sky.
"What did you write?" The goat boy asked.
"I just told Phil that we're all together and that we're alive," Ranboo said softly "And what happened to my parents,' the three others nodded, dead silence followed.

                               ----------

A few hours passed in silence as the boys laid on the very cold and uncomfortable concrete floor. The only noise that filled the room was radio static and the soft breathing from everyone. The two ender hybrids were curled up together for warmth. Tubbo sat next to Tommy, laying against him, asleep with the purring feline on his lap. Tommy couldn't seem to close his eyes; too many thoughts swirled in his head. It wasn't until the goat boy snuggled closer to his side did he jump back to reality. Tommy hadn't realized he was crying until he sniffled, he wiped away the tears quickly. The blond boy's sniffles alerted Ranboo and he lifted his head from laying on Zack's side.
"Tommy?" Ranboo asked softly as to not wake the other two boys.
"I'm fine Ranboo, I guess the reality of it all just came down on me," The blond mumbled.
"It'll be okay Tommy, I'm sure of it," The awake brunet said with a sad smile. He layed back down on Zack's side, making the black haired boy curl more into Ranboo. "Just get some sleep Tommy, we'll have to go out for supplies and weapons in the morning," Ranboo continued, he felt Zack's claws gently tug on his custom varsity jacket, so he stays quiet and falls back asleep quickly.
Tommy looked at Tubbo and slumped against the goat boy. Tubbo's fluffy brown hair tickled Tommy's nose and his curled horns were a little uncomfortable to lay on. He wanted to complain but he really couldn't, he's alive and with his best friends. Tommy finally relaxes, closes his bright blue eyes and slowly falls asleep to his friend's soft breathing.
