Quackity and Karl weren't streaming like a lot of their friends had been. They were watching a movie on Karl’s very comfortable gray couch. They had a fluffy white blanket draped over their legs and a half empty bowl of popcorn on the coffee table.
Quackity picked up the duck printed mug from the short table in front of him. The man took a long sip of the warm chocolate liquid, the light burn in the back of his throat made him hum in satisfaction. Karl looked over at him after picking up his own lavender tie-dye colored mug.
“Does it taste alright? I’ve never made Mexican hot chocolate before,” the light brunet said, just holding the burning cup in his hands. Alex laughed lightly at his friend’s nervousness.
“Yes Karl, it tastes really good,” Alex said, taking another long drink. He loved the semi-sweet taste on his tongue, plus the slight spice of cayenne that invaded his taste buds. Karl grinned and pulled his legs up and under himself to get even more cozy. Alex smiled softly when Karl leaned into his side and grabbed his right arm. At first Alex wasn’t totally comfortable with the physical touch. However, after visiting with Karl for over a week, Quackity was already used to the feeling of the man’s always warm hands on him. Whether it was a short hug or a hand on his back, the man started to really enjoy the constant, friendly touches from Karl. The man shivered when he felt Karl’s cold rings against his warm skin, he sighed softly and relaxed into the touch.
The light brunet rested his cheek against the other’s shoulder. Karl brought the blotched purple mug to his lips, he hummed when he felt the warm sweet chocolate invade his senses.
The two were talking over the movie, it being a Disney classic that the both of them had seen over a thousand times. The high pitched, lovable song was cut off by an urgent news report.
The two men froze, glancing at each other then back to the TV, Karl now sitting up. They were uncharastically quiet through the whole thing, smiles gone and listening intently till the broadcast looped. Quackity looked down at his lap in thought, watching the steam rise out of his mug.
“Alex… what are we gonna do?” Karl asked quietly, “there’s not really any safe places here, I don't have an upstairs or a basement,” he explained, looking at his lap as well. Alex looked over at his friend.
“But we know who does,” the black haired man said, setting his mug down and getting out from under the fluffy warmth. “What do you say about a road trip to Sapnap’s house?” the man smiled as he grabbed the other’s lavender mug, setting it down on the dark wood table. Alex gripped the other’s ring-covered hands, pulling him up from the couch, they felt the soft fabric pool at their socked feet.
Karl gasped with a large grin. “You mean we get to see Nick together?” the man asked excitedly, lightly bouncing on his toes. The winged man chuckled with a nod still holding Karl’s hands.
The taller man giggled loudy and ran down the hall to his bedroom. “Hurry up and get packed Alex!” Karl yelled over his shoulder.
“I’ll do it in a bit, I’m gonna go pack the car,” the younger called back as he sauntered to the kitchen.

                              ----------

The car was finally packed, their bags in the trunk and coolers of food and beverages in the back seat. The taller one sat behind the wheel, a white Monster can pressed to his lips. He felt the sweet crisp taste on his tongue and the constant popping from the carbonation. The man placed the cold can back in the cup holder to his right.
Quackity sat beside him, singing along with “All the Single Ladies” playing on the radio, pausing to take a sip from his own Monster can. The male shivered from the stark contrast of the cold drink to the warm interior of the car. The feminine voice from the GPS rang through the speakers, pausing the music momentarily. Karl listened and swiftly turned down the correct street.

                                ----------

“So how long do you think we will be stuck inside?” George asked, placing a green ‘3’ on the pile of cards in the middle of the trio.
“It will probably be a while till we can go back to how we used to live,” the fire demon stated.
“I hope our friends are alright,” Dream said, slapping a red ‘3’ onto the stack. “Uno!” he yelled with a smile. Nick placed a red ‘6’ on top of Dream’s card.
George gently put a red ‘+2’ on the pile. “You’re not winning while I’m here,” the Brit smirked.
“You sure about that Gogy?” the dirty blond challenged, smirking back as he leaned closer to the brunet, the other’s smile faltering.
Dream slammed the yellow ‘+2’ on the stack. “Suck it George!” Clay yelled with a bright smile. The other two men groaned in defeat and threw their cards to the floor. Sapnap fell onto his back, small black horns gently scratched his arm as he threw it over his forehead.
The Texen pulled his arm away when he heard his phone go off. Without looking at the name, he answered it and pressed the phone to his ear.
“Hello?” the man called out into the phone.
“What the honk!? Open your front door!” the voice called loudly, making Nick pull the phone away from his ear. He immediately recognizes the voice to be Karl’s.
“What are you talking about Karl?” the man asked, sitting up and glancing at his two friends in the room.
“Me and Alex are at your front door, get over here and open it!” the light brunet called out from the other end of the line, Nick could hear Alex in the background, begging Karl to be more quiet.
“Alright, I’ll be down there in a second,” the demon then hung up and got to his feet. He nervously looked at his friends. Clay waved him off.
“Go get your fiances,” the blond jokingly said, setting up a new Uno game. Nick nodded and walked out the bedroom door.
Sapnap quickly padded down the dark wood stairs to the front door. His tail started to sway with joy as he heard the faint voices of his friends from the otherside of the wood. The black haired man gripped the doorknob with his black, clawed hand. He pulled the door open to reveal his platonic fiances.
Karl smiled brightly and rushed forward, wrapping his arms around Nick’s neck. Sapnap hugged back, feeling the man’s soft hoodie under his palms. Nick pulled an arm from Karl when he felt the other man hug them together. The demon wrapped his arm around Quackity, pulling him closer to his body. Alex’s smallish wings fluttered with joy.
The three reluctantly pulled apart, Karl grabbing their belongings and closing the door. The moon spilling through the large windows, it being the only thing illuminating the foyer.
“I bet you guys are tired, if you two wanna relax and sleep in my bedroom, feel free, but I think the guys and I are gonna stay up a while,” Sapnap said as they pulled Alex and Karl’s things up the stairs.
“Do you not want to sleep with us?” Quackity playfully pouted, following the Texen into his bedroom. Nick chuckled, shaking his head.
“Sorry but I'm not sleeping until I win at least one game of Uno,” the black haired man said, Quackity groaned and landed face first into Nick’s soft black comforter. It smelled just like the man, sweet cinnamon and a burning campfire, Alex enjoyed the comforting scent.
He picked his head up from the blanket and looked at the light brunet. “You going to bed Karl?” the winged man asked. His lazily fluttering wings creating a soft draft.
“Sorry Alex, but I got three Monsters worth of caffeine still in my system, I’m not tired at all, you can sleep but I’m gonna go play Uno with the guys,” Karl smiled apologetically.
Alex nodded, getting under the soft blanket, folding his wings against his back. The man heard the other walk out and close the door behind him. Quackity reached up and took off his dark blue beanie, throwing it to the floor, his dark hair now sticking in all directions. Letting out a heavy sigh, Alex relaxed into the warm sheets.
Karl pulled Dream’s door open slightly, poking his head in. “Can I join your Uno game?” the light brunet asked, slipping into the room.
“Of course you can,” Clay said, Karl grinned and sat in between Nick and the blond. Dream smiled and handed out the cards.
